We all know the story of Daniel Bryan. Indy legend, WWE rookie, fired from WWE (legit or kayfabe), comes back huge reaction on return, win's US title.

Now he has been US Champion for 147 + days, and I actually think he's ruining the presitge of the belt? Why, because although over with the hardcore fans, I've noticed he fails to get much of a reaction from any other fans. Kid's don't buy him, as he's just an average dude, and your general adult just thinks he looks like a weedy bloke. Now I am not saying the guy has any problems wrestling because that is not the case. But the fact is his gimmick sucks. What's the point in keeping the title on a guy who's gimmick fails to excite or impress and is instead a joke. Seriously I always forget he's actually champ and never remember him as one to watch anymore, it's like the title never exists. He needs a fresh road a new challenge, because atm WWE are just making him out as a jobber, who beats bigger jobbers, before being jobbed out to guys like Sheamus.

Discuss....

I wouldn't say Daniel Bryan is. WWE creative doing so? Perhaps. The secondary title is never going to be a priority on Raw though.

One good thing they're currently doing is giving someone a prolonged title run with a midcard title. They just need to use the title more at PPVs and remind people that these titles exist. I didn't know Kofi was the Intercontinental Champion until I saw him with the belt this past Friday.

It's a bad time of year for the midcard titles though; Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania rarely feature IC/US title matches. This year's no different.

The problem has nothing to do with Daniel Bryan, he is playing a wrestler. that's what he is, he doesn't need to add any character to him. He is a wrestler and is better than everyone at wrestling. That's his character, thats what he needs to focus on.

The big problem is with secondary titles, they are useless. Noone is fueding over them, IC title included. They need to just unify them both at Wrestlemania and then the champion could have a plethora of midcarders to feud with on both shows since both shows are littered with midcarders who need life breathed into them.

For years now the WWE has done a terrible job at booking the midcard titles. The IC, US and tag team titles haven't been booked properly for years and don't have the prestige that they should have.

Bryan suffers from being the midcard champion on RAW. If he was on Smackdown he would have a better chance a receiving a push as midcard champion. RAW is all about the mainevent and that is it. For the US championship to be prestigious once again it needs its champion to be part of an actual feud. There needs to be an entire division for the title not just a random opponent every few weeks.

It's the WWE's fault not his. WWE has done a poor job booking the title ever since The Miz got the title. Bryan is always fun to watch and shouldn't be blamed for it. WWE seriously needs a change in management and HHH isn't the answer!!
