I’m not gonna say I have super strong feelings about one or the other, but I do think if he wants to add time to his contract, he should actually use him, but if he just wants to pay him to sit at home then he should let him just go at the end of his original contract. I think doing both is just not necessary.

The idea behind extending a contract is getting value from the performer for missed time, but you’re not getting that if you’re sitting them home with that extended time as well.

Even if he wants to use him, why would Fenix even agree to risk it when he clearly doesn't wanna be there? I know we've speculated the whole 'do some jobs and we'll let you out early' stuff but I don't see that at all.

I’m not even saying he can get out early. If Tony extends his contract he should use him and Fenix doesn’t get a say or he’s in breach of his contract. I’m just saying let him go or use him if his original deal is up.

I'm not even gonna pretend to know about the legalities of that so i'm gonna skip that one.

I’ve been saying it the whole time…

If you’re gonna keep him, use him.

The contract is for him to perform however many dates he agreed to in the time period laid out in the contract. A performer can’t decide to sit out on a contract themselves.

WCW actually sued Ric Flair in 1998 for breach of contract when he decided to go his son’s school event instead of work a Thunder he was booked for.

It’s one thing if your boss sits you at home but can you imagine the amount of people that would be happy to just sit themselves at home if they were still gonna get paid.

The great thing, one way or the other, though is if Tony tries to use him and Fenix refuses then Tony gets to sit him at home AND he doesn’t have to pay him. It’s a win-win for Tony.

I'll take your word on that but given all the reports that were floated around about Miro refusing everything coming his way, I really can't imagine he was sat at home all that time not collecting anything.

That interesting thing to me is Air Gold, who tweeted that first post Fenix responded to, actually is one of AEW’s most vocal defenders.
That guy is really not. He was literally in a space the other day called studying the death of AEW. He is an engagement baiter from fans of both products

Hard to say what is actually going on with Miro because there is a lot of rumors going on about that. Sounds like Tony might not want to play hard boss but considering how long it’s been now that he has been at home Tony 100% could’ve sued him by now or let him go. Who knows, though, maybe Miro is just quietly not being paid and he’s fine with that.

it really depends how much AEW would want to force the issue to make them come in but I would say this, if I was already being petty and you refused to do jobs, I deffo wouldn't change my mind

I mean, maybe he is now because I have seen a few more hot takes from him on AEW but as someone who sees his posts every single day he used to defend AEW against almost any benign criticism it would get.

One thing I can definitely say though is he’s not a fan of WWE. He definitely loves to shit on anything they do.

I can see Penta & Fenix joining Andrade in a sort of stable like Rush has in AEW you can then put them whererever on card with DIY MCMG Bloodline

I’d be interested in hearing what he was specifically saying that space, though. It could be fun to laugh at.
