I’m not gonna say I have super strong feelings about one or the other, but I do think if he wants to add time to his contract, he should actually use him, but if he just wants to pay him to sit at home then he should let him just go at the end of his original contract. I think doing both is just not necessary.
The idea behind extending a contract is getting value from the performer for missed time, but you’re not getting that if you’re sitting them home with that extended time as well.
