Injured WWE Star Returns To Action

Skip Sheffield competed in his first match in over a year at Saturday's Raw live event in Sunrise, Florida, defeating Alex Riley.

The former Nexus member had been sidelined since breaking his leg and ankle on August 18, 2010 at a Raw live event in Honolulu, Hawaii. He underwent a third surgical procedure in June and vowed that it would be his last.

Awesome news. Have him debut on SmackDown after Mania has been and gone and let him tear shit up

Saw some report days ago about him having some kind of cyborg like gimmick or soem shit. Hope not but good to see he is back for his sake better hope he is on Smackdown and doesn't get the Brodus treatment

So now he can spend the next year back in FCW getting ready for a return that will just kill his career when WWE books him under the bus.

Honestly, the guy isn't anything special, I mean I can see why Vince likes him due to his size. But lets face it, if he's had that rough of an injury so early in his WWE career, I can only smell injury after injury. There are far better guys that Skip Sheffield, but I'll keep my mouth shut until I see what he can do once he returns, but I highly doubt I'll be very impressed.

If he returns to the main roster I hope that it isn't as Skip Sheffield again. Give him something fresh and his Ryback gimmick from FCW would be a good start rather than having him as some generic big man. When he returns I expect a big push since Vince seemed pretty high on him before the injuries.

I dunno now that he's returning I feel like he could have a great potential return angle. Maybe even try a "band back together" angle with his old nexus crew what happened we had these goals eventually itd fail with him having to take out at least gabriel and slater maybe a program with barrett.

Is McGilicutty (sp) alive? He can't seriously be off air this long just for a name change.

WWE screwed up so badly with the ending to Nexus I don't really want to see them take another shot at it. They could bring back in McGillicutty and Husky Harris from FCW if they wanted them back on television to add to the group but I can't see them going that way.

Well I assumed that the McGillicutty was off air to get the name change to Henning.

As far as botching Nexsus that started right around the time the brain trust decided to have Cena feud with them solo. They were a force should have taken a force to take them out should have been a classic survivor series match 5 on 5.

McGillicutty is still on air. He has been on Superstars the past two weeks, where he got beaten by Alex Riley one week but beat him the next.

I've read in the past that McMahon thinks Sheffield could become the next big monster face. I don't mean "monster face" as in massively cheered, I mean the main big guy that gets cheered. Btw, I'm not joking, I did read that.

Anyway, if they were to make him a face, I'd like for him to take out a member of the Nexus one-by-one backstage, but only those that are currently heels. It wouldn't make sense for him to be a face and take out somebody like Justin Gabriel.

Would be interesting to see what Skip could do in the ring without the Nexus, can't wait to see him tear shit up. I always thought Sheffield would return after Wrestlemania and I'm kind of hoping Rey Mysterio does too.

He hasn't lost any size during the injury layoff, hopefully he doesn't end up with a wellness policy suspension. Since he is already back on house shows I think that WWE will bring him back during the RR match.
