Impact Wrestling Live Discussion Thread - 30/9/12 - Open Fight Night

- It's the return of the monthly Open Fight Night on Thursday's broadcast, Where any member of the TNA Wrestler can call out anyone else and they must fight.

-"The Cowboy" James Storm revealed his plans for Open Fight Night on Thursday's broadcast. Storm said he would be calling out Bobby Roode this Thursday to continue their heated rivalry. Roode will have no choice but to answer the challenge.

- Also on Thursday's broadcast, it's the return of the TNA Gut Check, as one wrestler gets the opportunity of a lifetime to earn a contract with TNA Wrestling! Can they prove they have what it takes to join the roster?

- Hulk Hogan has put the Aces and 8s on lockdown. However, last week Aces and 8s sent a message that they may be locked in as well. How will Hogan respond to the threats of Aces and 8s?

- All this and much more on Thursday's IMPACT WRESTLING on SpikeTV LIVE at 8/7c, including the latest news of the "Bound For Glory" Pay-Per-View event!

I won't be watching this live for sure, real busy tonight, so I'll have to catch up on DVR sometime later. I'm looking forward to Roode/Storm as well as the new spin on the A&8 angle, figure we'll get some hilarious "What if YOU'RE the mole!?" backstage segments.

I find it funny how SHAQ was doing segments in WWE and now is on TNA.

What a shit show. So far the only thing I enjoyed was the Storm/Roode thing. Tag match to start the show was good, but honestly this show has been shit to me. And to be honest, the Aces & 8's segment was pretty terrible.

True, lacked Bully Ray but I think he's about to come out and face Aries.

But overall, show's been pretty crap.

The TV Championship will be decided next week, that is correct. Safe to say Devon is gone, and they are probably going to drop the title some hopefully someone who will give it some kind of glory or something.

And Bully is out now, and wrestling Aries, a LOT more watchable.

Main event was the highlight of the entire show.

I really enjoyed the main event. It's obvious that they don't know what to do with the Aces & 8's thing and it has gotten to the point now where the big reveal of who is behind them is not going to really do much.

Just watched it. There were a couple really good parts, them being the tag match and Bully/Aries.
A&8s segments getting repetitive and unnecessary. I think they're just trying to capitalize on the
success of Sons of Anarchy just like GTA did with Lost & Damned. It's not working.

More unnecessary face/heel flipping by TNA. Tara is now a heel. Aries is showing the signs of a flip.
Really, does every big match have to have the heel vs face theme? Face/Face and Heel/Heel matches
more often than not more entertaining than those anyway, so why waste it?

BULLY RAY! That is all that needs to be said. I did enjoy the show for the most part though, good in-ring action.

Raw Is Jericho from back in the day= Impact is Bully. Its getting to the point where he's on that level. Once again huge props to Bully Ray, a guy who I've hated until about five months ago.

Impact was okay, I feel as though it's on a downward slope from the summer. There was some pretty weak parts, but some good parts so, it just about evened out. A few thoughts:

- Can Sting please return to GM so, that they can get Hogan off of TV? The Aces & 8s gimmick is growing stale, but I think I'd be more interested if Sting was the leader of their rivals. Just get all of the Hogans away from my television, they're a hinderance to the show.

- Why aren't Robbie E & Robbie E in the tag team title hunt, bro? Seriously, I'd take them two over Chavo and Hernandez. They've been a team for all of four weeks and I already don't give a shit about them.

- The X Division is back where it was two years ago, all of Aries' great work with the belt is gone to waste. There's very little charisma in the division so, I would suggest that they sign Perkins, bring Jigsaw etc. back in and just let them go balls to walls for fifteen minutes every week. That may get it some attention.

- Putting Bully Ray in the world title match at Bound For Glory may just salvage their main event because god knows that I have no interest seeing Jeff on the Pay Per View, let alone in the main event.

- Magnus/Joe should get more air time to get their feud over, I see a lot of potential there.

- Storm/Roode has been pretty good. No complaints.
