TNA Wrestling's flagship show "Impact Wrestling" could soon be without a home -- Spike TV quietly let the league know it's not renewing their TV contract … TMZ has learned.

Multiple sources with direct knowledge of the deal ... tell us Spike execs contacted TNA President Dixie Carter this week to break the news -- and the following day Carter informed members of her inner circle.

TNA's current deal with Spike reportedly runs through October. It's unclear at this point when "Impact Wrestling" will stop airing on Spike.

We're told there's no bad blood, and Spike gave TNA such advance notice so it would have time to shop for a new TV deal.

TNA's show debuted on Spike TV in October 2005 -- and helped the league rise to #2 on the wrestling scene … behind the WWE.

We've called TNA and Spike for comment ... so far, no word back.

TMZ more reliable than Meltzer siites....actually scooped the story.

Wow...didn't think Spike would actually let their contract expire. While TNA isn't the biggest ratings draw by any means, there was still a decent demographic to be had on Thursday nights.

Gotta wonder where TNA could potentially end up. Not too many networks I can think of off the top of my head.

Still one of their biggest ratings draw on Spike, management obviously fucked up and didn't negotiate shit. Just heard Meltzer trying to lay the blame on Russo, like him being named as a consultant to the commentary team was a major factor.....get the fuck outta here Dave.

Have been trying to re up since the start of this year, obviously Spike is just sick of the TNA experiment and no longer want wrestling on their program, don't assume or even think Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling is going to take their spot, because letting go of an established brand they had for 9 years give or take for something with only a shit website and a few terrible videos is ludicrous.

Blaming Russo is such an easy jab at the guy because they act like marks and chant "fire Russo" when the guy isn't even there.

Has to be the guys who were trying to make the deal....UTA and TNA upper management. And since ROH is tied to Sinclair, that ain't happening and GFW is just nothing,

Holy Shit, @deezy This was the perfect time ever.

#LOLTNA
Just waiting until the closure is confirmed.

Then it's going to be one last one, end of an era.......the LOLTNA......not that company.

Honestly, another company needs an attempt at being the alternative wrestling product on cable TV to WWE. TNA has never been ran very well.

Yeah, some execs at Spike don't like Russo, but that's hardly a reason to think about closing. It's probably because TNA's been on a downward Spiral for the last 5 or so years and it was bound to happen sooner or later, or because they never really understood how to operate with a wrestling promotion on their channel.

Not big news for the most part, but it's big news for TNA. I just don't care anymore and I'm enjoying watching the decline to be honest because it's hilarious.

Been forecasting this day since I heard that TNA was up for renewal last year.

Saddest part is, that this company finally seemed like it was actually doing smart things like trimming their fat, cutting a lot of deadweight contracts and doing tapings instead of those live broadcasts that were costing them an arm and a leg.

Too little too late though. I really thought TNA had some momentum there around the Summer of 2012. I don't know how well they were doing with ratings or business or anything, but the actual product was just miles better all of a sudden, but then it went back downhill after a few months.

Granted, those were things that TNA should've done back in 07 and maybe they would actually be in better position.

Wrestling is dead, long live MMA!

Hopefully Angle goes back amongst the elite in the only rasslin fed worth watching, and the other jobbers work carny feds and XPW-level shows where they belong.
