With technology the way it is, TNA shouldn't need a TV contract, most people use Netflix, Hulu, or any other on demand streaming service.

Get a contract with Netflix, and now Netflix can offer wrestling to compete with The WWE Network. For the exact same subscription price, you also get everything else Netflix has to offer, a better household service, instead of a niche service.

You think TNA have enough brains to actually do any of that? They didn't even have a "Plan B" in case this happened.

Contract is over two months, I don't know if this means the rest of the New York tapings will still be aired, or this show is flat out done. What does this mean for Bound For Glory? Is this company still going to be around for this advertised and paid for event? Because I would think the PPV provider would want this since it is already on their schedule.

Well TNA had their chances over the years and blew it. When the company was in its peak creativly and were starting to stand out as a strong number two around 2005-06 they dropped the ball by becoming a WWE knock off with cartoonish characters. Then as Chris mentioned a couple of years ago they seemed to be getting on a bit of a roll again, but blew that by over extending the AA8 gimmick. They also never fully took advantge of the UK market like they should have. The timing is right for Spike to get out can't blame them on that. I like TGFNEH's idea about TNA signing with Netflix, can see that working.

They did actually draw a profit around 2007 time, seems that needs pointing out time again...

TNA was just dumb for not having a contingency plan for this scenario.

If some dumb mark like me can see that they might not get picked back up by Spike a YEAR ago.....one would think the people in their front office and UTA and actual reputable company would see that too.

Don't think it would take that much talking bullshitting from TNA. When you see some of the random shit on Netflix (the UK version at least) then a wrestling show might seem an up grand and would surely have an audience. Could be a low cost win-win for both parties.

In order for it to work at all, TNA would have to go back to a static location like Impact Zone or Asylum, and use their 4 PPV slots a year to get rowdy live audiences in markets that they are popular in. Go against what was done with WCW, put salary caps in place, have a year of storyline already in place, and stop signing past their prime "stars" that fail to bring in any new viewers.

But, like I have said, if they manage to pull this off, they can bring something special to Netflix, and an alternative to WWE Network preventing them from cornering the market. It is one space I can actually see TNA competing with WWE, since they are just as new to this.

Nope, all their original programming is just uploaded whole seasons at a time I believe.

It's never nice to see a company go under (or about to anyway), even if I didn't particularly like TNA.

I agree that they really should have seen this coming. The fact that they don't even have a plan B in store, or even really tried for a plan B, shows that the company has been a mess for a good while now.

I'm not that familiar with US networks, but I'm guessing it's fairly certain that no one else will pick them up?
