Because I gotta know. Are you a sheep who will blindly follow your prferred promotion no matter what kind of garbage they spew out on your tv?

Or are you an intelligent fan with discerning tastes who doesn't want to waste their time when crap is constantly being fed to you via your television screen?

I for one am the latter.

I AM NOT A SHEEP!

If the program is good, I watch the show, if its not I don't. That doesn't make me any less of a fan. It means that instead of subjecting myself to 1-2 hours of shit I don't enjoy, I actually exercise the option of doing something else that would entertain me. This makes me intelligent.

So I ask you and I put it to a poll are you an intelligent fan, or a sheep?

By that definition, I am an intelligent fan, yes. But my standards are probably not as high as your's. Sure the WWE usually sucks, yes, but it's more than that. If you've been watching an extremely long time, you've already connected to some of those old characters, therefore they always entertain you. That's what keeps me watching WWE, guys like Triple H, HBK, Undertaker, etc. Then of course some of the amazing potential in some of the new guys, such as MVP, Punk, Burke, Hardy's, etc.

I also watch TNA, but unlike other people I like both and just watch it for what they are. If I am criticizing I'll probably criticize both or just one if it's really necessary, but most that know me know I'm not a "sheep".

Put me somewhere in the middle. (Go ahead Kaedon and say I'm wrong again)

I don't always watch the WWE. As a matter of fact, I never watch ECW and hardly ever watch SD. I do however watch Raw on occasion. (I've actually watched it for about a month straight now.) It's really hard to say though. People say they don't like the shows, but how the fuck do they know if they aren't watching it? You people will then say I read the results and it still looks like crap. How the fuck do you know if you didnt actually see it? "Well, I read other people's comments" IDK about some of you people, but I don't always agree on what other people have to say about shows. It's just confusing to me with all of that.

Anyways, I really don't know. I can be a sheep sometimes, especially when somebody pisses me off, but for the most part, Id put myself in the middle, b/c I don't think I would call myself that intelligent tbh.

I have been watching WWE on and off for my entire like. I tried to watch WCW back in the day, but I always went right back to Raw. I try to watch TNA now and I just can't get into it.

I've always liked Raw and I probably always will. Its just my preference. The reason I stop watching isnt because I hate the show, but because there is something more important in my life at that time.

However, randomly, even after a few years of not watching Raw, I will tune in and see something cool and get right back into it.

I watched Raw non stop from day one up until about 2000. I then just randomly stopped watching until 2003. It wasn't because the product sucked, I just didn't have time. The product was actually good then. One night I was sitting around doing nothing and I saw Evolution come out. The first that popped into my mind was, "Holy Shit Flair is in the WWE" then secondly I thought that Orton guy was pretty cool. I haven't missed many episodes of Raw since.

I guess this would make me a sheep. In my my mind, even if Raw sucks...its still the best wrestling program in the world. In my free time I like to watch wrestling so why not watch the best show. I have tried the others and I cant get into them the way I can with RAw.

So to make a long story short, I guess I'm a sheep.

I don't think this is an accurate assessment of what an intelligent fan is either.

An intelligent fan, the so called smart mark, basically gets off on bitching about the ins and outs of wrestling. They love wrestling so much that they go on internet sites and read about it all day and complain that technically sound wrestler X isn't getting a title opportunity. These are the people who will watch no matter what.

I think you are giving intelligent wrestling fans too much credit.

By your definition, an intelligent fan is a casual fan who stops watching when the product sucks and then goes back to it when it gets popular again. Casual fans like to jump on the bandwagon when its "cool" to do so. I don't see anything smart about that.

This is an example of logical behaviour.

I've been watching since I was 5. I am now 25. Also, I am not necessarily implying current times. As a matter of fact, wrestling in general really isn't that bad compared to a lot of early to mid 90's stuff. Personally its not exactly my cup of tea, but its not horrible television. That goes both ways for the record.

So to make a long story short, I guess I'm a sheep.

Hey so long as you're all good with it, I'm all good with it.

These people are twats and are closet sheep because they watch they supposedly dislike. Worst of the worst fans right here.

I think you are giving intelligent wrestling fans too much credit.

I'm redefining the term.

By your definition, an intelligent fan is a casual fan who stops watching when the product sucks and then goes back to it when it gets popular again. Casual fans like to jump on the bandwagon when its "cool" to do so. I don't see anything smart about that.

No an intelligent wrestling fan is one who is not enjoying what is being made available them, and therefore chooses to find other wrestling promotions, etc that they can enjoy. They don't give up on watching, they just watch what entertains them.

I'm not gonna deny it but I'm a sheep.

I watch iMPACT every week even if it's good or nto and I don't watch WWE often but I watch it regardless of wheher it's good or not. I like to watch things and have my wn opinion on them rather than listen to what everyone else says and not watch it because they don't like it.

Honestly.... I'm a sheep. I simply think Smackdown is better then ECW, Impact & Raw because It's the only brand I can watch.

I only watch WWE shows if they are worth watching, usually via the replay, spoilers or looking at WWE.com. Otherwise I'll just look at the results. Occasionally I might download a TNA, but that's a rarity now... INTELLIGENT FAN RIGHT HERE!

I should point out that all of this is meant to be taken purely with tongue in cheek.

ok, intellegent is a big word to be splitted and defined well..

for me this how it goes with intellegent fan and its definition.

To be intellegent you have to be:
1- aware of what kind of product you are viewing
2- knowing that if a storyline is up, then you could witness hype, feuding, etc.. but that doesnt mean you have to believe the things u see.
3- enjoy the wrestling as any kind of shows you would sit back and watch with a popcorn or whatever you like to byte on.
4- Feel free to skip a match, promo, whatever the kind of thing broadcasted, if you think it would ruin your day, make you lose precious minutes from your life.

for me talking about wrestling in a lunatic behaviour that it seems that it would be the most important thing in life and the outcomes the ins and outs are the core of conversation, then excuse me, that would be for a person with no life, just wanted to sound as e-toughness, e-smartness. whatever u call it, its just fake personale and im not trying to point my finger to anyone, its just that there are so many more important things in life than talking about an assembly or play and try to make something out of it.

That is the definition of an intelligent transformed to a sheep due to deep converage.

And the sheep would be half stupid, half bored imo. You can support whatever wrestler, wrestling business u wanted, but i think you shouldnt over-react about them in any way coz just remember one thing, its not real.

Just think of any sport or any team you support, not only wrestilng im talk about here, its just if you think about that, you would understand that one day your team will win, other day your team will lose, its not the end of life, why would i kill myself for bunch of players and find myself suffering heart attack, blood pressure, diabetes, mental disorders, less time to sleep, etc... coz i was so nervous and tensioned to support this and that?
what would it benefit me? is it going to make life a better place to live at?

so from that being said, i think i prefer to be neutral in supporting a sports team, wrestling, or whatever, coz dude, its just a game.

yeah some people would say, huh? what about the passion and feeling excited about the game?!! well.. i just feel that its just a repetivite kind of stuff, over and over again. So why be so passionated about it? hell no. just enjoy it as a time consumer and a way to entertain me. thats all.

I like to consider to myself as a wrestling fan. I loved wrestling. The drama, the athleticism, the feuds, I loved it all. I watch Wrestling. I don't consider myself a ROH fan or a WWE fan because to be quite honest, if its wrestling, I'd watch it. If a product is not enjoyable, I choose not to watch it. Simple as that. I can care-less for Star Power, production, the History, etc. If a the product stinks, I'm not going to watch it. I've watched wrestling shows where I've had no clue as to who any of the guys were...why, because I'm a fan of wrestling.

To me, a sheep is a person that values something so much (in this case a certain wrestling promotion) they'd downplay any and everything to make his or her preference seem superior. There is definitely a lot of people like that on this forum, and I'm sure they know who they are.

I would also like to say that I'm a person who believes art comes in many different forms. Every wrestling organization is not going to be the same. Why downplay another organization for not being the mere-image of another, after all its an entirely different organization... This is why I don't understand topics like "which is the better promotion"

So all in all, I'm a wrestling fan who watches a product for what it is. I was a huge WWF fan a few years back, lately I feel the product could be better. Instead of pissing and moaning because it doesn't fit my preference, I choose not to watch it. I'll probably start to pay more attention as time goes on, but as for now...I'm good.

Oh and I'm not Blue, so I guess I'm "intelligent"

And if Football or Basketball is on, I'm watching either of those over wrestling tbh
