I hate guns but I think they should be legal. Maybe if they went back on it 100 years ago, it would be fine. To outlaw them now would be asking for trouble because we would be left defenseless while criminals still have unmarked guns. It isn't like outlawing them will make them go away. Most guns that shoot people are used by criminals to begin with. I think that there should be some kind of psychological test done to carry/own guns though.

And hey, maybe stop letting unmarked guns come up from Mexico. That would be nice.

I have no serious answer because I would never want to be president so here are my not-so serious rules:

#1 - Require every cat to own at least one human.
#2 - Require all humans get microchipped for safety reasons.
#3 - Spay and Neuter all humans.

But for real, if there’s any changes that need to be made regarding guns in the US, it’s the process of getting them that needs to change.

Outright banning things just doesn’t work (look at prohibition). Definitely need more psychological screenings and seemingly better background checks. People that have no business owning guns (people with mental disorders, war vets with severe PTSD, even convicted felons) can still manage to buy guns legally. That’s why people say they need to be illegal, but if you reform the process of getting one, it might make things a bit safer.

And for all the unmarked guns, well... you have the US government dealing with Mexican cartels to thank for that.

I do know that, that’s what I’m saying.

I’m not pro-gun. I don’t own a gun, nor do I really want to. But stricter gun laws aren’t really going to do anything. If there is a will, there is a way - people are gonna get guns if they want them.

Like you said, if there's a will, there's a way.. If they really wanted to prevent younger gentlemen from getting guns, they can.. They just don't care enough.

I would thank God the President doesn't have the power to make things illegal or legal. And that is not a shot at our current President either. No one person should have the power to make anything illegal or legal, not even the people I like.

Accurate. It'll just create far, far more criminals for our police to deal with, if this is any indication.

1. Increase the use of nuclear power plants.
2. Fix Social Security.
3. Reduce taxes on the lower classes. Enact merit-based immigration, which Trump has not yet accomplished.

I wouldn't object to legalizing marijuana, but it isn't a priority for me.
