No matter who you are, there's always that one song that immediately ruins your whole day when you hear it no matter what kind of mood you were in before you heard it. (or comes pretty close)


For me, it's a song many people love (strangely) but it brings about nothing but foul language from me.

I have to fast forward that part of the movie now. I was okay with it when the movie was the only other place I heard it, but when it became so trendy that I still to this day see people making damn fools out of themselves in public when the song is played, it became a slight against whatever God this planet has.

Journey's Don't Stop Believing has kind of become a Detroit institution because of the "From South Detroit" part and I've heard that song so many damn times, I kind of snap inside every time it's played.

The only reason you will never hear me talking shit about Mariah is strictly out of loyalty to the 90's since at least the pop stars of that era could actually sing. I was never into that kind of music frankly, but when you stack it up against the teenie boppers of today, the latter is a goddamned disgrace. Those singers didn't need to autotune their voices like the Taylor Swifts of today do and make their fans wonder why they all sound fucking horrible in concert.
