I can certainly agree that he seems very unhappy and has a severe case of no fucks given, which yes, would at least hint towards being in a upset state of mind. While I wouldn't go as far as to say he's going mad (he might be, though) I think its clear that something has been upsetting him for a long time and yes, it could be a multitude of things such as being shorted on merch (if true and hes not paranoid, but i do remember WON saying something similar about ibushi a while back) , feeling like he's being rushed back, pandemic/lack of crowds, the iffy booking (its better now but there was a period of lots of wtf) . doesnt sound like a happy guy

I used the term "mad" as a way to replace the term insane, though I know he isn't, it was just a way of saying Kota is at his breaking point, but yeah I am wondering where this goes from here because I am wondering which way this goes as I have two ideas in my mind

Some more updates

“Cheaters-gun” refers to Kikuchi, TAKA, and Taichi, all of whom Ibushi has heat with.

The first instance of Ibushi and Kikuchi having heat goes all the way back to 2018 when the former felt the latter wasn’t paying him fair merch royalties

Kikuchi’s contract was not renewed in 2019 due to above and also included “marital affairs” involving Kikuchi’s wife.

Kikuchi was eventually brought back in 2020 after Dick Togo gained more power in the booking committee. At this point in time, Kikuchi is in charge of talent relations.

In regards to booking, Kikuchi has been involved in creative ideas, but as in a similar position to Togo, all ideas need finalization through Gedo.

Kikuchi has “old school” beliefs in how New Japan wrestlers are meant to act including maintaining kayfabe outside of shows and keeping relationships secret.

It has been said Kikuchi is “selective” with these ideas, and Ibushi is just one notable example who has had to deal with them.

In fact it was Kikuchi who made the call to keep Ibushi from having his match against Shingo Takagi at Dominion in 2021 even though Ibushi protested against this decision.

Kikuchi also asked Ibushi to Ibushi to be prepared to wrestle at the Tokyo Dome in a manner in which Ibushi felt offended and didn’t feel he was ready.

Ibushi then felt he was ready to come back in the New Japan Cup, which he was booked to win, but it was once again Kikuchi who pulled him on the basis of a “minor concern” from his doctor.

Ibushi then cut all communication with New Japan until Kikuchi contacted and reprimanded the former about attending a JTO show without permission.

Ibushi has thus been given the ultimatum to return to in ring action by Dominion, or be fired.
So, I am kind of on Kota's side given all of this is true. Also, I don't think Kota will return by Dominion

Considering in that's in a month, I would also be extremely shocked

Given how Kota has been like "Fuck you. fire me." and just heartless, for a lack of a better term, I could honestly see him not showing up at all, unless they get everything fixed/figured and Kota gets his way, not meaning that in a bad way.

nah I feel you. Unless they mend the relationship, even if healthy, if I'm wearing the booker's hat, I probably can't risk booking him at all in case he no shows like you said

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be Gedo right now because you know he is either sweating from all of this or trying to fix everything the best he can.

Seems like he's the only one Ibushi is willing to even entertain talking to as well

Because from what I have heard Gedo is easy to talk to and always tries to either fine a middle ground and/or he puts the wrestler before business

If it were up to me I would have Kota Ibushi in AEW and reunite with Kenny Omega.

I don't think they've ever left. But I also wouldn't be tweeting that shit to the public
Nah, they left because Japanese government cracked down on them in the late 90s/early 2000s, but I wouldn't be saying this in public as you said. Because even though the Yakuza aren't as bad as they was, they are still some people you don't fuck with.
