What is the point of the character Ryback? Yes he's 6'3 and built like a brick wall but why put him up against such weak wrestlers every week if we know he will always come out on top???????????????? Sure he can destroy all the skinny wrestlers but put in a ring with the big show, brock lesnar, tensi or kane and i guarntee you will it would not be so one sided. I just don't understand are the WWE trying too make him look like some kind of tough guy by beating up all these rookie opponents? Yes he's big but compared too some current wrestlers he looks like a small man.

do you agree with me on this?

For the spectacle. Its not that we know Ryback will win that makes him good to watch. The fun is in the match itself, watching him throw those poor fools around.

I don't know what's not to get. You're making it sound like clashing with another powerhouse like Tensai or Lesnar where his strength would really be put to the test is something that shouldn't happen.

i am just saying it would be good too see him get his ass beat for once and not vice versa :)

I am sure there are many wwe stars past and present who could have ryback for breakfast such as Mark Henry.

It's the WWE cycle. They get a big guy, build him up with squash matches, eventually have a few real matches, become comedy act (Kozlov, Snitsky) then wished their future endeavors. Ryback is no different.

Yeah pretty much this exactly.

There was talk they were actually going to push Ryback to Goldberg status, but I doubt that can work again in WWE's modern world. He might actually reach comedy status sooner than you think because the crowd is clearly not behind him with the constant "Goldberg" chants every week. The way he says "Feed me more" is actually pretty hilarious already because he sounds completely Blue the way he says it.

They need to give him an actual feud now. Put him up against someone in the upper-midcard, depending on whether he's heel or not. I don't know if Ryback is face or heel.

Ryback should refrain from having a character, just go out there, destroy people and rinse, lather, repeat.

Worked for Goldberg.

If WWE booked Brock to beat Ryback, yes, he would. But not if they booked Ryback to beat Brock.

Ryback wouldn't even be a big enough name to face Lesnar, so a moot point.

Probz jobs to Big Show in a few months.

Ryback, don't you mean Goldberg. Nah I'm just messing with you. This is how I see it, if Kane or Big Show faced Ryback they would book it so it's a hard fought victory for Ryback but those matches would suck. As it seems like they are trying to make him the next Goldberg, in the coming weeks I see him being put in matches against people like JTG and winning in the same fashion he has been. The winning streak is going to go on a while I'm afraid but once he does lose, he will fall into the abyss and never be seen again.

If they(WWE) really wanted to make this guy, they would keep him under the radar for atleast a year, have him slowly build up towards bigger names and slowly but surely destroy most of the roster until he hits midcarders and starts actually selling then. If you can keep him slowburning like that, you can actually make a Goldberg 2.0.

Doubt it would actually happen though, seeing people who book WWE seem to have a really short attention span.

Only time will tell how big Ryback will be. I remember hearing that Vince thought he was good enough to be the No.2 guy on the roster. I just want to see him in a fued with somebody so I can see if he is good.

Hopefully the 'destory jobbers' role will end soon, it's getting horribly boring - we know how 'powerful' the guy is, WWE don't need to push that anymore. I think in time he'll make a good mid-carder, could easily place heel or face. A predict a US/IC title run for him, but at the end of the day I do miss the 'Cornfed Meathead' Skip...
