I would have Vince bring back the Kiss my ass club and let everyone have free membership.

I feel that it will be triple threat match at Mania. Batista is now heel and having Punk be the face in this match only makes sense.

I think people might overestimate Chicago crowds. Punk had zero momentum when he left and it's old news by now. I don't think the crowd is going to a huge problem. They might want to be, but I doubt it. A few chants, here and there. That's it. On with the show, like normal.
I think you sort of won. Punk chants, sure, but all in all the crowd was in to a lot of the show.

Yeah, too bad the hijacking couldn't have been a little more literal, with machine guns and ski masks and a list of demands including Punk in the mainevent of Wrestlemania, lol.

Wonder how much of that was WWE's doing. Maybe having the first segment foreshadowing Punk coming out shut them up, and then packing the first hour with so much awesomeness that the crowd wore them out.

if they dare smarten up enough to take some of the icing off of this Ortista clusterfuck sundae we'll be a pissed couple of jobber marks

Sending Heyman out to start was an absolutely brilliant call. I thought the opening segment was amazing in general. Hell I thought most of the show was great, but I did skip most of the 2nd hour.

It was the "perfect storm" (God, I hate that phrase) if you were hoping for a Raw hijack. The Heyman promo to open was an amazing nod to Punk and his history while still building the Lesnar/Undertaker match (even though it is straining credibility how every year for the last five or six, the commentary team has been all "I've never picked against the Undertaker, but this year's Mania might just be different!!!! OMG!!!!").

The show was really pretty good. The DZ/ADR match was terrific (even though I'm not a fan of my faces winning through distractions.....it still worked and was entertaining). Even though not as good as their EC match, Shield/Wyatts was great. Most of the segments, top to bottom, were solid and they were able to minimize the effect of the slower segments.

BTW, I cracked up during the Bryan/HHH/Steph segment. The crowd booed mercilessly enough that Stephanie was having to shout into the mic to be heard and it wasn't much better when HHH was talking, but they got all-but-silent when Bryan started talking. As soon as HHH/Steph started talking again, the booing was back. It was very funny. Not unexpected, because I know the respect Bryan has in "smarky" towns like Chicago, but humorous nonetheless.

People are acting like Steph or HHH should feel bad about the mass amounts of heat they got. They are just that damn great as heels. I was marking my tits off for both of them during the back and forth mic exchange with D Bry.

I don't think they should feel bad. I just found it humorous that the crowd got so quiet when Bryan was talking and then resumed booing when HHH/Steph talked. It was almost like someone had a volume control on the crowd.

They're doing a terrific job as heels during their interactions with Bryan.
