It pisses me off that the cop just didn't give a shit. My pets are pretty much like kids to me. I don't treat them different just because they are animals. I treat them like I would treat my own human kids. They get spoiled, they get to sleep in the bed with me, they get walks, they get baths, they get treats, I play with them.....I can't fathom how a person could just not care.

What a fucking asshole for asking if the driver was on drugs.

To start with, the officer was doing his job, the person is weaving in and out of traffic in the middle of the night, going 100 MPH...you tend to think they're either drunk, or on drugs. The person jumps out of their car, screaming "SHE'S DYING, SHE'S DYING"...it makes you think that they're on drugs even more. The person fucking going apeshit doesn't help either. If they guy would've been calm, the officer would've understood...but I know it's hard to be calm in that situation.

I don't think you should be going 100 MPH for a fucking dog. The guy was weaving in and out of traffic and could've killed someone for a fucking dog. I love dogs and I know how bad it is to lose a pet...but the guy shouldn't be doing that shit...and in the fucking interview the dumbass says the cop was abusing his power by screaming at him to get out of the car. What the fuck does this guy think he deserves? imo, the officer was just doing his job. But I think 20 minutes was too long to give the guy a ticket.

My dad is a cop and I go to work with him all the time when he's trying to catch drunks...and most people that are drunk and that are on some sort of drug usually does the same shit that this guy did. I can't blame the cop for doing what he did..the only thing wrong the cop did was keep them waiting for 20 minutes. I'm an animal lover more than anyone here...but the cop was just doing his job. I don't get why there's tons of shit on this.

I know it's hard not to go 100 MPH when your pet is dying...but I'd rather have my dog die, than kill someone by getting into a wreck. The guy in the interview is just a fucking blueberry. He thinks he should've gotten special treatment becuase his pet is dying...but he's going 100 MPH and weaving in and out of traffic, the cop HAS to do something about it.

His dumbass girlfriend/wife thinks the cop has nothing better to do than waste time and kill a fucking dog. She's as stupid as he is...they fucking blew it out of proportions.

Wasn't he on a highway? I could be wrong but I thought he was.....which would mean that 100 MPH would be just about the speed limit....the weaving part, I can certainly understand how that would be a problem. I certainly wouldn't want to be driving around someone who was weaving.

I thin they also mentioned that there was another cop who saw the dog and new what was happening but did nothing to help.

Maybe it's just me but how the hell do you NOT know what to do when an animal is choking? Hell, I'd shove my fist down it's throat and grab the food out if I had to.

im sorry but the cop did the right thing. the guy was speeding on a highway and weaving in and out of traffic putting his life, his girlfriend or whoever that was life, and everybody elses life on the road in danger. the cop did what he is supposed to do for his job. pull over dumbass drivers and in this case the guy looked like a dumbass driver. Which would you rather have happened. A huge crash causing multiple HUMAN deaths that makes the headines in the news. or what happened. The death of a DOG, not a person, to save PEOPLES lives. I really dont like animal obsessors. They act like animals' lives are more important than a fellow human. its just plain bizarre.

Maybe you've never had a pet before or didn't care as much but pets are part of the family and, like I said, I treat mine as if they were my kids.

How different is it from a guy speeding and weaving when his wife is going into labour? A life is a life and I don't take any life for granted, whether it's a n animal or a human. I would never have the midset of "oh, it's just an animal, oh well". An animal has a heart and feelings and compassion. Just because it isn't a person doesn't mean it should be treated any lower.

I know if my dog was dying I would have done the same damn thing he was doing...my dog is everything to me...When ever I am down or anything he usely can make me feel better...

To me the cop just wanted to be an ass...ok pulling him over I can see but once he knew what was wrong he should have let the man go or better yet give him a police escot to the vet.

Tell me, if your dog dies...you feel bad...right?

If you crash into a family with kids...and kill an entire family, wouldn't you feel even worse?

I'd rather have a dog die, than a human.

Ill agree they guy was doing his job. But doing the right thing? Your Blue if you believe that because it doesn't take 20 minutes to write a fucking speeding ticket. If i was that guy i would of gotten a lot more than a speeding ticket. They guy is a fucking piece of shit plain and simple. Doubt he will get punished but i hope that guy sues the asshole.

Why does everyone do this to police officers? Speeding is one thing, most highways are maybe 75 MPH tops. If he was doing 100+ MPH, you can lose your license ON THE SPOT for driving 25 MPH over the speed limit as well as get an attempted suicide ticket, and wreckless endangerment. IMO, he was stuck there for 20 mins, for what he was doing, I would consider him extremely lucky. And yes pets and animals are living things just as we are. People care for them, as do people care about people in labor, or anything like that. But when you see a police escort in movies, that shit dont happen. Yall watch too many movies, breaking the law is breaking the law. There are things in society that do take importance, and I am sorry, but LadyHotRod, if you had a babies head sticking out of your vag, and your dog was dying next to you, where would you make your husband rush too? I am gonna guess youd go to the hospital. People make sacrifices, choices, there are things you can and cannot do in life. Simply, that is one of them. 10 MPH over maybe, but who knows if 75 was even the speed limit, in most cities its 55 as the speed limit at 100 MPH is 45 MPH over the speed limit. So for you to say that this cop was being an asshole, when he was doing his job trying to provide for his family, which is the same any of you would do if you were in his position, is fuck up of all you. And for you to say that you hope this cop dies because he was doing his job, I surely hope that you reap what you sow.

Okay, yes the cop was doing his job by stoping him. But 20 minutes? For a ticket. Coincidently as he new the dog was chokinf in the car? Mighty big coincidence. Some people see their pets; dogs and cats mostly, as their family. Brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, part of their family. Obviously this couple was on of them people. Blaze and LHotrod including me are these people too. My dogs are my famlily. If something happen to them ida done the same thing. I got dogs now. 3 pits. 2 puppies, and 1 adult. The adult is like my brother, the puppies are my kids. So I will treat them as such. I'll treat them just like my blood brother and my blood kids (when I have them)
"when he was doing his job trying to provide for his family", that's really funny. "In order for me to provide for my family, ill get this dog killed. I'll stall them just for an extra 15 bucks on my check." that must have ben what was goin on in his head.
The guy new the dog was dieing, he could have escorted them to the vet,dog hospital where ever they was going. And after got there could have sorted out the ticket thing. Im sure it wouldn't taken him 30 min AFTER the dog was safe. And I hope yall don't have any pets or wont get any pets with what some of yall are saying. Put the dogs life over others. If your dog pet whatever was choking, bleeding, hit by car, leg got cut, broken neck, you'd just let them sit in your house, sit in the middle of the road, outside, whereever they're at and let them die. That's just fucked up.
