Hulk Hogan was interviewed by The Daily Star today and commented on TNA going forward with weekly Impact Wrestling episodes on the road, noting, "It’s either hold ’em or fold ’em. You’re either in the wrestling business or not. Is Dixie Carter really in the wrestling business, or this is just a hobby? You either make the move or you don’t. You’re at that point now. It’s the same place we were with WCW – you either run with the big dogs or be a little dog and stay on the porch. The destiny of this company is in her hands. It can stay TNA, a powerful little company, or she can make the decision to move on to greatness."

Can you imagine if a WWE wrestler called out Vince on if he was in the wrestling/sports entertainment business or not? Pretty arrogant thing of paid employee to question the motivation of the boss and to question whether they are putting their all into it. Pretty sure that this is the only thing that she does, yes her parents pay for it all as a tax rideoff but she has still put a lot into the company including giving Hogan a cushy contract.

I also will never understand this fascination with becoming the biggest and best wrestling company. What is wrong with being number two if you are making good profits each year? I would rather be number two for a long time making good money rather than making it to number one for a short time and than crashing and burning hard and ending up out of business ala WCW.

They aren't going to be number 1 and he needs to realize that but he's not wrong. If Dixie isn't fully committed they are screwed. I think she is though, she just doesn't know enough.

Pretty much agree with most of that. The only thing I will say is that Hogan doesn't seem to say anything too critical about Carter, just that it is time for TNA to put up or shut up which is kind of clear to everyone. It does seem a pretty sad heat seeking interview imo.

Perception wise, they'll never be on a par with the WWE.

They've dropped to the 4 PPV schedule which is smart for them business wise, but outdated and everyone saw straight though their reasoning for it.

I'd guess theres a lot of non-wrestling fans who haven't heard of them. Not a huge concern, but those same people have probably heard of WCW/ECW. They have a lot of work to do to get their name synonymous with wrestling.

"Total Nonstop Action" was an awful choice of name.

One thing you have to understand about Hogan and something Dixie will start learning from experience now is that Hogan has always believed himself as being bigger than wrestling and it's always bugged him that Vince received ultimate credit for WWE's success in the 80's and not him. I'm sure he also believes that WCW's success in the 90's was solely because of him also. Coming to TNA has been a humbling experience for him and it's clearly starting to frustrate him that TNA has not taken off in the same amount of time WCW did when he came aboard there. I think a lot of wrestling fans expected this to happen eventually when he first signed with them.

Even when Hogan made his first appearance in TNA, I vividly remember him walking down that ramp and embellisheing a fan sign that read "Suck it Vince". He came to TNA to make another statement and he hasn't been successful. He brainwashed their company that they were ready and credible enough to take on the throne on Monday nights and look how that turned out. This is why I've always known Hogan was going to hold this company back more than anything because to him, it's not even about the company. It's strictly personal and entirely about proving himself.

You can disagree with me all you want, but this is Hulk Hogan. It's who he is and the way he will always be until he's physically broken and unable to stand and talk on television. Dixie needs to make the right decisions in terms of what's best for her company, not Hogan's cancerous ambitions. Professional wrestling isn't big enough for two companies right now and they both need to realize that.

Actually agree with most of it. Hogan now rates as a guilty pleasure for me. I respect what he has done in the past, but your views on his character seem pretty spot on.

To be honest, Dixie might want to start considering contingencies for this Hulk Hogan era of TNA. It might not be a bad idea to take a page out of Vince's book and try screwjobing him out of the company. The fact a small company brought in a huge star like Hogan didn't surprise anyone. But a small company pushing him out? Something like that is bound to turn some heads. Controversy. TNA needs to learn how to use it to their advantage.

Hulk Hogan... everyone knows who he is. Do something horrible to him that he writes a fucking book about later. That'll definitely get people's attention.

People do this all the time. How many former WWE employees say this then get rehired? Punk has acted that way in interviews while being their. The rock called WWE a circus stating he was done with that life boom where is he now? Hogan Testifed against Vince he's worked for him multiple times.

For an experiment, I googled "bigger than wrestling" in hopes to see a bunch of Hogan pictures, instead I got this:

Dixie has already ost her daddy tons of money, can't say she isn't in this.

Bout as deep can get. If she was to fold, she would've done it in 09 after the whole "NONEDAY NIGHT WARS" that never happened.
