As long as I just have to predict winners of matches and Davey handles all the work I don't think I care about setup honestly anything this low maintenance (for me) is A-OK in my book

Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I think if you have the best set of predictions you should be the winner.

Having to win a shot, at a shot, at then being able to, if you then win the best predictions, become champion, feels like too much.

Like you can’t just get lucky once and be champion.

You EARN a shot at becoming number 1 contender by being good for 1 show.


You earn a shot at the title being better than the other 3 at the next show.


THEN you gotta beat the champion at the next show.


It’s a little easier once you become champion as you gotta just beat one person. But the road to getting there is one that you can’t rely on luck.

If you guys like it, no sweat off my back, but having to win three straight shows in a row to become champion feels like a chore.

And it feels like winning a show is punished rather than rewarded, but more power to it since I'm alone here so I'll just keep throwing in wild cards.

How is winning a show punished when it guarantees you a shot at the open the gate belt? Thats a reward lol

Having to win again and then AGAIN means you never got a win for your original win.

I mean I liked the other way also. But one of my wins was pure luck. I had zero idea about NJPW, and just made some random ass picks and if I recall I went perfect on the show. Like by pure luck I won the belt. Sometimes it does be like that I guess tho. Tho I would have won the belt on this new format that way also. As I then defended it twice, before losing it.

I like this way because it’s more than luck involved. But I mean the old way is good also because I could get the belt back easier.

You have to win the second match to get the belt. You don't get anything for the first win.

And that belt is only a bargaining chip to get a shot at the real belt.
