According to reports in Steeler nation. Hines is being released from his contact. As a Pittsburgh guy I find this saddening as I am from here and he has been a staple of the steelers for some time now bit it is a business and his numbers really declined. Best of luck to him in his future.

It really sucks that he won't end his career as a Steeler, he's always been one of my favourites for his enthusiasm. I hope he catches on with another good team and has a chance to win another Super Bowl with them.

I do believe I read somewhere that this was a money move and nothing more. I see them resigning him on the cheap as I am sure he would give them a discount just to stay in Pittsburgh.

Hine Ward bleeds black and gold, so this is a bit saddening. I'm a moderate fan of the Steelers, so I watch them plenty and it sucks to see a franchise player gone. I hope he ends his career on a higher note than T.O. or Moss at least.

He could sack his own QB every time the ball was snapped for a year and he would go out on a higher note than T.O. and Moss.
