I recommend watching Mean Girls to learn what not to do and The Faculty so you'll know if your school has been taken over by aliens. Or you could listen to Jim because he's right, sadly high school is not like a John Hughes film, as much as we all wish it was. He's mostly right about not joining in on any bully though, don't be a dick. The way it was for me was I just stuck to my group of friends and not much changed, you might make friends along the way too. It's not as much of a big scary experience as you might expect. I got kicked out in the first 5 minutes of the opening assembly my first day, I don't think I'd recommend that...

Well in 7th grade I almost got kicked out of the assembly for making funny noises  I'll try to be more cooperative

My advice for high school? Be smart. Be friends with the right people. I don't personally know how good you are in school. If you're a good grade getter, then no worries there. If you need some help, make friends with smart people who share the same class. That way, if you need help on something, they can either help you or (if they're cool) let you borrow a paper so you can rewrite it in your own words. It isn't plagiarism. It's creative writing :p. For this reason as well, make friends with some sophomores who have taken your classes before so that you can use their old papers. Most teachers do the same shit every year.

In all honesty, high school isn't really about grades. Same for college. It's about networking. Make friends with the right people and the right crowd. Don't change who you are but network with people who are going places. Don't get me wrong. Get good grades so it'll look good on your transcript. But, most of all, have fun. You have about four years before you're legally an adult, so enjoy your life now before you have any real responsibility.
