And about the movie facts, I don't consider Austin's performance in Condemned Oscar worthy. Levesque wasn't much in Blade Trilogy (which was probably the worst outta the series). And lets not forget Hogan in Mr. Nanny. Let's face it, critics are not the biggest wrestling fans. Wrestlers do movies to entertain the audience, not the critics.

Good point but which of those wrestling actors never returned to wrestling?...which of them were trying to be serious actors?

Most movies don't make anywhere near as much as a majority of the Rocks movies make. Thats why he is a hollywood star and thats why he will be starring in movies for years to come.

God forbid the Rock take a promotion, because thats what it is.

Its no different than an actor leaving Saturday Night Live for a movie career. FUCK YOU Will Farrell..SNL made you and you sold out!

Its no different than any asshole leaving one job and taking another that pays better and has more benefits.

People need to grow the fuck up. The Rock doesn't owe you, or the WWE shit. He has made more money for the WWE over the years, then the WWE has paid him.

Ive never been more disgusted or disapointed in someone as I am in Dwayne Johnson. If he wanted to retire from wrestling thats fine, he didnt have to cut off all ties to his past because hes ashamed of where he came from. Wrestling fans made him who he is not hollywood. Its too bad too because he truly was a great and had it all.

alright, STOP.

fuck this report and whoever agrees with it. fuck triple h and ric flair for what they said. they're really taking this "business" way too seriously.

THE ROCK came back for one night only, he gave the fans what they wanted, he gave us 10 minutes of entertainment we have not see in years. and can someone explain to me how he was thinking he's above everyone else? if he did, why the fuck did he take the time to mention others in there? oh my....he didn't talk about his parents. fuck em, its about the rock coming back and its what people came to see. i bet every fan in there went there just to see the rock. his parents would understand....and us fans with no fingers up our asses would surely understand.

LoL, calm down brother; after all Kane won the ECW Championship!!

I agree, people were there to watch The Rock and many of us even wanted to see The Rock, nobody was too excited about his father's induction they were all there to watch some good classic Rocky comedy!

And if he has given us that then I don't think any guy in that building should say shit, because he entertained the fans and that's what really matters! The Rock was great at the Hall of Fame and he didn't offend anyone, those were little jokes!

^I think there was an overraction to the jokes, I doubt Y2J was offended or Foley or anyone else since those were obviously planned. My only problem was that I thought he was on air too much and talked too much about the other people involved and overshadowed the event a little too much because it wasn't really supposed to be his night.

yes i think we all know he did that. and i would've begged for more....know why? cuz thats what would entertain the fans. and thats what he wanted to give...since he wont be back for a long time.

^Trust me I still love the Rock and I was very glad to hear him again, parts of it were music to my ears when I hear his usual phrases. I think it would have been better if they had done it at a different event though, not the HOF. I just thought it was a little over the top. All I was hoping for was to hear the usual phrases, a joke or two, and then put over the HOF. I just thought he went a little overboard with the amount of jokes, although they were all obviously planned, and just talked a little too much. I would have begged for more also, I just think it would have been better if it was at a Raw show or something like that. But it's kind of a catch 22 because they used his family to get him back on screen otherwise he probably won't be at a live event for a while.

Biggest load of shit I have ever heard.

Fuck you Rock you cut off all ties to wrestling. The ties are so gone that he just happened to make an appearence at the HOF ceremony. He also made an appearence on the Raw anniversary show a year or so ago. What an asshole.

He is so ashmed of wrestling. So ashamed that he came back on national TV and rattled off some of his most famous catch phrases.

And the straw that broke the camels back. He made fun of Santino and Jericho's hair cuts. What a disgrace. I don't care if the Rock put them over more than any match could by just mentioning them, he shoudl respect their rights to have bad haircuts. Then he goes and makes fun of Cena and his movie. WTF is that shit.

Johnson's speech went on first because he had to catch a plane immediately to Las Vegas, where they are filming his latest movie, Space Mountain.

That's funny.. Since the movie is called ESCAPE FROM WITCH MOUNTAIN!! (You would think that they would get the facts straight). Also, for someone who's "above" WWE. Rock sure didn't have a problem with making fun of Santino who's nothing more than a comedy low-carder.

This has all the making of a BS story made up by someone who still hates The Rock for going to Hollywood to make more money without having to worry about constant physical pain.

Edit: If Rock left right after making his speech... How was it that he was interviewed AFTER inducting his Dad and Grandad to the HoF?

And I'm sure that WWE will be complaining a lot when those HoF DVD's fly off the shelf, thanks in large part to Dwayne's presence.

There is definitely some friction between Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and WWE right now, both with management and some top wrestlers. John Cena touched on the issue during an interview recently published in the UK Sun where he questioned why Rock couldn’t attend more WWE events.

Rock has rejected WWE’s invitations to several events since he left the company for Hollywood, and this doesn’t sit well with Cena, Vince McMahon, Triple H and Steve Austin just to name a few. These guys feel that Rock could domore to payback the company and the fans that helped him become a star.

There are also a number of people within the company who sympathize with Rock’s situation though, as he’s become a hot name in Hollywood and is being advised to distance himself from pro wrestling. Rock makes a ton more money with movies than he could with wrestling, and obviously wants to do what will take care of his family.

In Austin’s case, it’s said that he wishes he was in the physical condition to continue wrestling, so it’s hard for him to understand why a guy like Rock wouldn’t want to do more in wrestling. Austin’s lengthy list of injuries likely won’t allow him to wrestle another full-length match. Rock and Austin haven’t stayed in touch with each other over the last few years and there was reportedly some friction between the two at the Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday night.

Most of Rock’s defenders in WWE say that people are jealous of his success and are just hating on him, but seem to think that the situation with Austin is about much more than jealously. Austin is said to recognize the fact that Rock is doing great with his acting career, and that it could mean more opportunities for more wrestlers in Hollywood.

One source within WWE mentioned Rock returning to the ring at WrestleMania 25, but said that the chances of it happening are far less than 50/50 if for no other reson than his busy filming schedule.

Wow that’s news to me; I thought Austin and The Rock were good friends out side of wrestling. I guess that's not the case anymore.
