If he'd turn heel, and just win from random guys, wouldn't it be a little plain?

Depends how it's done if he's squashing them in super Cena mode then I expect it would piss people off. Plus there are better opponents for him imo Rock, Taker, Punk and even Lesnar spring to mind.. They'd all put on better matches without Trips apparent meddling ego.
