I never tend to trust rumors but I hope it’s true. I know how must of you feel about him, but he’s close to retirement and I hope he gets one more major title before he heads out.

He did go to rehab for the first time in his life so he deserves some credit there.

It’s that he never seems to really learn. The two DUI’s really pissed me off as well. He was putting others in danger by doing that.

Addiction is a super tough thing to overcome that is a multi-year process.

With that being said, I’m sure it doesn’t help to have fans, even other performers reminding him of it 24/7.

Yeah, DDP has shown he can help as he did some great work with to really bad cases in Scott Hall and Jake Roberts. I’m sure he can help Jeff.

At the end of the day, as a fan since I was quite young, I’d just like to see him in a serious feud with someone that includes a TLC match at a PPV or something; he doesn’t need a title for me to enjoy him.

That, and a Fiend title run would be cool.

Too be fair, man. When the Hardyz started to emerge, I related more with Edge & Christian so I sided with them. Matt Hardy entertained me with V1 and then 2006 and 2007 especially with Finlay he proved he can work, I never got that from Jeff. He's had some okay matches but I would never say Jeff was part of the reason. He's just a stunt guy, I don't care for TLC or ladder matches in general. Jeff never looks like he cares about winnin' them, he just wants to get to the next spot. This is supposed to be competitive, Jeff doesn't ever look competitive in that regard.

That’s a fair point. Looks like we just have a difference of opinion.

The fun thing about wrestling is that we all prefer different guys for whatever reason, whether it be nostalgia, in-ring skills, or look.

This is one of the reasons I’ve gotten back into wrestling, I love these conversations.

This makes sense from WWEs perspective as, for whatever reason, Hardy has a connection with a large number of fans and they don't want that fanbase to follow him to (or accidentally see him on) AEW.

Especially after Matt was on Jerichos podcast and they bigged up the idea of the Bucks against the Hardys on national tv.

Thing is, other than maybe that match, I honestly don't see any value in AEW signing him as a performer - they already have Darby Allin and he's pretty much Jeff 2.0 but so much faster and more believable - as stated above, Hardy never feels like he's in a competitive match but Allin gets that across while doing awesome stuff too... and if the argument is that he'll put eyes on AEW - how did that work out for TNA?

So, I understand why WWE would do it, but personally I don't want to see it.
