Honestly the people who unironically post the "who" gif and aren't actually interested in other people's opinions on the subject they're referring to are kind of... dumbasses, but that's just me.

If you don't know someone and you're not interested in getting to know them more just don't bother commenting to pad your post count?

I will split the bill on that one. I do think who comments are kind of stupid but I also think people come to forums specifically because they like to talk to people rather than using a search engine. Everybody knows how to use a search engine.

They think they are being clever and humorous which means they have the IQ of a gnat

I think it's fine to ask other people their opinions on someone if you're genuinely interested in looking into them or want some info on them. Discourse is the spice of life.

But condescension regarding someone you don't know ain't it, ya know?

It’s definitely better ways to ask, but meh. Sometimes they want that type of reply from you, so you give them what they want when you reply in that way. Answering them most often will piss them off more

Certainly not disputing that but I'd definitely feel the same if it's someone I really like too haha

I’ll take their posting history into consideration as well. If they lower tier level they get what they get.

I kind of agree with blaze too. I think sometimes explaining when they post the dumb who comment can give other people lurking the thread some insight on who the talent in question is and sometimes even get the original commenter to give it a second look. Not always, mind you.
