Slowly but surely Halloween is unfortunately creeping into Australia. Last monday three kids rocked up in outfits, clearly they weren't too bright as it was a week early but it is a bad sign. It will mean that this Monday more kids will probably rock up begging for food. In the supermarkets they now have big tubs full of the Halloween pumpkins so people can carve their own and they have stalls set up with bags and bags of lollies trying to entice people to buy in case people arrive.

Personally I am not a fan of the night. I don't see the point in it and I don't think that it should be added to Australian culture. Garcia on Reno 911! sums it up perfectly where it teaches kids to beg and sets them up for living on welfare the rest of their lives :p

Is Halloween a big deal where you live?

I only like Halloween because I stay in at night eating sweets ignoring the door while watching Horrors. This year might go out with mates, but I can't be assed. It's a big deal down her, but always ends in kids just egging houses. Won't egg mine though because they get scared that i'll let my rottweiler out.. I've done that.

Lol always good to have a dog on hand.

I am hoping that in Australia it doesn't end up being where if you don't give them lollies then they will egg your house. Would be really bad if that tradition was adopted here as well. I am thinking of just ignoring them if any do turn up on Monday.

Halloween is huge out in my little town cause we don't have anything else haha. It's night where friends can go out with each other, get some candy, and have some fun. But for the first time, I can't go cause I got work on Halloween night. But it's a pay day, so afterwords, I'm just gonna go out on November 1st, and buy the discounted Halloween Candy haha.

Halloween is big every where in America, as far as I know. I think we're only like 10-20 years away from it being admitted as a National Holiday.

Halloween is unbelivable tonight...

Everywhere I've gone, I've seen groups of people in outfits...

Like seriously, this year has given Australia the biggest Halloween celebration in history.

We're becoming American.

Went to the pub to put my bets on for the Cup tomorrow, and the chick behind the bar was all dressed up. Looked smoking.

So when I had a couple of little kids come to my house I gave them a curly wurly each and some little lollies.

Pity, I was looking forward to eating that curly wurly..

Ants, you anywhere near Bell Park?

There's a huge ass Halloween party near Rollins Road.

Drove past before, this chick was so hot wearing some sexy lingerie shit.

Ants you should have bought some bad candy to give away. Curly Wurly is too good for beggars. Woolies had a special the other day 4 Curly Wurlies for $2 :D

I timed it so that tonight I took my dog out for an hour walk around 7pm just as the people were walking around. More than I have ever seen but only a few had costumes on. Some younger kids had capes and masks on or had painted faces but a fair few young teenagers just walked around in casual clothes and carried a plastic bag with them. Not many went to the effort to dress up but it does seem like in five years time Halloween will be a pretty big deal here.

Funny I say this...I didn't dress up this year and really don't have the urge to do it anymore. While I was a kid/teen I was always thinking what I was going to be, but now I'm just focused on getting drunk and attending parties where the girls are barely clothed. Pathetic one may say, but I'm a man and I enjoy my women & beer.
