Did Nash need to beat Goldberg? No. They could of had DDP or even Booker T Scott Steiner

Nash beating Godlberg wasn't the problem. The problem was the heel turn and Hogan using creative control to win back the belt right after. I do agree DDP makes the most sense breaking the streak, though.

It's always a risk trying to "make" someone by ending something like the Streak but hindsight obviously points to DDP being a great choice as well
