1998 is the year I'd say WCW and WWF were even in terms of entertainment, but the WWF roster I feel is still weaker and because of that their cards on paper.

Austin/McMahon obviously the top angle of the year, though.

McMahon/Austin feud being half of WWF's overall programming it felt like carried them a ton IMO and it tips them over still

Plus WCW did fucky shit like Warrior being brought in the first place, like the whole feud man remember the mirror promo?

But first half WCW was much better

I also admit I haven't seen near as much WCW tho, I've seen every Raw of '98 for sure and PPV. WCW I've seen every PPV and a few Nitros/compilation shit from Collections

That's where we disagree. I think it's strong enough to make them tied to me. WCW still has a better rounder roster and card. So I always give it a tie in 1998. If that angle wasn't so strong though, I'd still give it to WCW. WWF doesn't become top tier for me until 1999. And then Raw overtakes Nitro 100%. 1999 WWF was just so good.

WCW was definitely much better before August. August things changed in the creative teams and Turner started inferring. So I'll give you that, for sure. Warrior should have been a homerun, but man was out of his mind.
