Guys on the roster who are screwed up beyond repair

Remember when Riley beat Ziggler en route to Summerslam, when Jericho caused the distraction? Thought that was a great way to start rebuilding him. Let him win fluke matches at first and work his way back up... sadly WWE doesn't think he's worth it

Exactly, they could have easily used that as an excuse to give him more air time, say he wants to win properly and without a distraction or something along those lines and maybe during that some midcard heel comes out and distracts him causing him to lose thus starting a feud, just a brief idea but it just shows how easy it would have been to ease him back into it and I'm sure the crowd would buy into it due to the pops he gets when appearing.

Imagine building Riley up as the underdog trying to find his mojo. He gets a few lucky wins and starts to progress, and eventually wins the US or IC title. Then he starts to get cocky and turns full blown heel!

God dammit I'd mark.

It would be perfect, and annoyingly easy to pull off, like I said, he is easily over enough to carry a mid-card belt and has more than enough talent, the whole process writes itself, he has proven that he can get over as both a heel and a face so this would be a win win for WWE and Riley, let's face it as much as we love Cesaro he isn't getting any more over in this current gimmick and Barrett needs to lose the belt soon in order to move up to the WHC scene, I can't think of a star more suited to carry the US belt than Riley right now, unfortunately I can see him sinking into complete oblivion, I mean I'd forgotten about him until just recently.
