Over 10,000 fans crowded the Boom Town Hippodrome to watch a wrestling event put on by the one-time prominent Total Championship Wrestling, which was attempting a relaunch. However, it was met with disaster as The Commandant decided to make an example on wildcard enigma Super Zero, who had apparently cost him a job recently. Commandant along with his hired cohorts, promised the ultimate handicap match as 11 villains and hired assassins converged on Super Zero, who has never been known to have any alliances to speak of for help.

However, The Commandant had miscalculated just how popular the event was with the Boom Town heroes as none other than Mr. Infinity himself swoops in for the save, joined almost all of the resident Boom Town hero contingent. The great 10 on 11 fight was on, as the crowd sticks around despite their own safety hazards. Thankfully most of the fighting was kept into the coliseum thanks to the heroes being in control after the initial ambush on Super Zero.

The heroes quickly took out Mammoth Man, C.R.A.W.L., Snow Giant, and The Commandant himself, but Immortal Swordsman and Agent Torrent were both taken out, with Agent Torrent suffering a significant injury from an energy blast from the Quantemmes. She is expected to survive, but a full recovery might be out of the question.

From then on the heroes subdued the villains with the utmost urgency as they saw their two fallen comrades. Backlash avenged Agent Torrent with an energy blast of his own to both Quantemmes, critically injuring them. Their status is currently unknown. While the rest of the villains were able to escape with battle wounds, Xtinction was subdued and committed to an insane asylum after being taken out by Mr. Infiity. Experts are in disagreement over whether the man can ever function with society, however.

Despite the devastating injury to Agent Torrent, the heroes were able to stop the plot against Super Zero without any injuries to the spectators. Super Zero as expected did not show a reaction to the help as his stare remained blank. The crowd doesn’t seem to notice as they’re too worried about chanting for Mr. Infinity.

Elsewhere in the Grey Dog Universe...

Deep in the shadows of Ravenholme at a small bar barely noticeably by street light sits a shadowy figure himself, known in this outfit as Sulphur, barely noticeable in the corner of a bar. So much so, that the man he was supposed to meet, Little Rudy didn’t notice until he spoke up, inviting him to sit.

“I think it would be beneficial if our families pooled resources going forward” Sulphur proposes to Little Rudy before they toast their drinks.

On a dark rainy night in Ravenholme, Crimson Saint has gathered a ragtag group of characters. They include the loud-mouthed sadistic Deathwatch Beetle, the mysterious Wilde, the rugged, no-nonsense City Sweeper, and honest police member Rachel Noir, who is second guessing joining along with this group. The Saint has information on a meeting taking place in the Chinatown district tonight between notable criminal Sulphur…also the older brother of the Crimson Saint, and he called upon any that answered to stop it. While the group doesn’t all agree on philosophies, they all want to clean up Ravenholme for the better so they confront the villains in a back alley behind a restaurant in the Chinatown district, where they were hoping to enter from behind to meet. The crew consisted not only of Sulphur, but very prominent Ravenholme mercenaries including Crippling Fear, Le Rapide, Major Graves and Narco. A fight broke out in the early hours of the morning.

During the fighting, Rachel Noir panicked and let out a reckless burst of gunfire, but she was able to take out Major Graves despite her lack of planning. However, while Deathwatch Beetle was trying to protect Rachel, he was hit with a devastating blast from Le Rapide. Things instantly started going badly for the villains, however, once City Sweeper entered the fray. He connected with rifle shots on Narco, his goon, and Le Rapide, which then resulted in Le Rapide picked up by Rachel Noir, who managed to keep him subdued until police arrived once the fighting was over resulting in his arrest.

Meanwhile, Wilde corned Crippling Fear…or so he thought, but has he threw his ninja stars, Crippling Fear sent them right back into him. This was a short-lived victory however, as Street Sweeper had switched to his sniper rifle and landed a shot right to the liver of Crippling Fear, sending him off into the shadows. Crimson Saint was also able to take out the ninja who came to assist his brother Sulphur with his two handguns, non-lethal of course. City Sweeper did not have any issue with lethality however as he aimed a sniper shot right at Sulphur’s head, but Crimson Saint was able to push City Sweeper at the last minute to save his brother’s life, however Sulphur was still knocked unconscious from the shot. He would later be incarcerated in an insane asylum. Crimson Saint hopes his brother can finally be rehabilitated.

Elsewhere in the Grey Dog Universe…

In the country of Albion, our post-credit scene is once again at a local pub, but this time one with a local Scottish theme. The Psi-Ren is seen shooting pool by herself, or so we think as it’s revealed she’s conversing with The Hidden Threat, who’s currently beating her 6-3 in a game of Snooker. It’s unknown what this alliance will bring​

I'm currently simulating the last issue of volume one and wow this might be the most uneventful first volume I've done in my 4 plays so far lol thems the breaks tho, I'm sure more drama in later issues. I'll post a recap of the power balance between good and evil and such after every volume (6 issues each) is completed

For future releases (and the last of volume 1), I'll be tentatively releasing new issues every Wednesday on new comic day. I've simmed a lot farther ahead and I think I'll be able to craft better stories knowing future events for these issues

Deep in the Enclave of the Wastelands, the massive wolf-man known only as The Sheriff has set out to end the Rat Kingdom once and for all with an all-out attack on Warlord Ratilla. His close ally, Jack Lumber attempts to talk Sheriff out of it, saying it’s a death wish to confront the Rat Kingdom head-on. Jack Lumber’s fears are made worse when Sheriff reveals it’s not just the Rat Kingdom, but most of the Wasteland underworld he was looking to end as Ratilla was hosting a meeting with many of the top warlords of the area. He reveals he knows this by bringing Lumber to an abandoned warehouse where he has Count Obdurate captured, being watched by none other than former western comic star, Bones Morean. Obdurate quickly professes that it’s a trap and the villains are aware Sheriff is planning to come to save his own skin, but despite protests by his allies, Sheriff is determined to continue with his plot.

Jack Lumber continues on with The Sheriff despite his own protests, though he does feel better when they are joined by Quickdraw and Psi-Knight whom the Sheriff had previously recruited but neglected to tell Lumber. However, once they made it to the seedy Enclave tavern where the villains were meeting, they quickly realized Obdurate was telling the truth. Not only was Warlord Ratilla there with his rat army, but so was General Amass with his Knights of the Vulcan Shock Troop, and the dreaded King of the Waselands himself.

Horrendously outnumbered, Quickdraw and Jack Lumber are quickly taken out by shock grenades from the Vulcan Army, with Jack Lumber vowing a lifelong grudge against the Vulcans. The Sheriff and Psi Knight try to fight on, but Psi Knight is also taken out by the Vulcan Army, while The Sheriff himself is overwhelmed with a swarm of the very Rat army he set out to end on this night. While the heroes were able to escape with their lives, this defeat will linger with them mentally for a long time.

Elsewhere in the Grey Dog Universe…

In a televised press conference in Hub Borough, the city introduced Mainframe, powered by advanced AI to protect the city to a giant applause from a crowd of citizens. The android waived before flying into the air, beginning his patrol.

Returning to Principal City, Count Obdurin enters his safehouse and pours a drink before he’s met with a breeze from the open window…a window that shouldn’t have been open. But before he can panic he’s confronted by Lieutenant Soberin, who says she believes her department and the House of Amass could have a future as allies. Obdurin says it’s possible, but he’s done working for now and invites her to stay to share a drink, which she obliges.​

Volume 2 Preview
Volume 2 of Grey Dog Universe delves deeper into their version of Earth. as we see events in Albion, San Habbershon, The Wastelands, and Boom Town. Issue 1 sees the newly independent Kid Albion attempting to foil a bank robbery from Sister Swan to prove he can handle business without the Round Table. Next in Issue 2, Oceanio attempts to capture his arch rival Sea Lord in an adventure that threatens to wreck the McArthur Museum in San Habbershon. Issue 3 is unique as it focuses on a villain for the first time since the relaunch, as the dreaded King of the Wastelands takes front and center as we take a look at his day-to-day activities for the first time ever. Issue 4 heads to Boom Town for a light-hearted adventure featuring the ever-popular Boom Town CATs and the veteran superhero Master Phoenix. Issue 5 is a much more serious issue in Boom Town as Backlash attempts to capture The Commandant in a plan that may have absolutely devastating consequences, this is one you won't want to miss. And finally in Issue 6, we head back to Albion as the visiting Kid Canada must enlist the help of members fo the Round Table to clear his own name.
