So I found this board after doing a google search for wrestling forums. I'm sick of the poison that you find online/twitter/comments etc so had to try and find a place with normal/real fans. I hope this is it.
I'm originally from Blackpool, England and have lived in the Czech Republic since 2006.
I started watching wrestling in the 80's and went to my first live event in 1992.....UK Rampage at Sheffield Arena. I loved it at the time and actually watched it back recently on the network. It was quite strange with the title match between Savage and Shawn Michaels 4th on the card before the likes of Repo man, the Mountie and of course the usual British Bulldog main event.
After that I went to a few house shows in the UK (WWF and WCW) and then stopped watching completely around 2004 until 2014. I can't remember why I stopped but since getting back into it I've taken it up a notch and watch loads of different promotions these days. I went to the first NXT UK takeover in my hometown and last year left the wife at home and took a trip over to the US for a bit of sightseeing in New York before flying to Houston for Elimination Chamber then over to Orlando for an NXT taping at full sail. This was great!
My plan now is to organise some trips nearby to WxW shows around Germany and also the 3 yearly shows we have in Prague (AOW).
So...erm...aside from wrestling I love football (not the american stuff) and ice hockey. I'm a groundhopper which means I like to travel domestically and internationally watching matches at different stadiums, ticking them off and mixing with the usual tourism/pubs. I also like video games...both new and retro and I work as an English teacher.
