Well, the field narrows down a bit more. Here are the semi-finals, and since Steen tied with Nigel (which was really a shock to me), they will now be involved in a triple threat match. Voting will end Monday night at 8PM EST. Try to get more people involved if at all possible!

1. Samoa Joe [645] {29}

4. Austin Aries (2) [419] {29}

Samoa Joe - Aries had a great amount of variety between his two reigns, but man is it tough to vote against Joe. Took on all comers, practically saved the company and had the longest world title reign in North America in the last decade.

Bryan Danielson - Statistically, both men's reigns are very similar. Match quality wise, I'd prefer to watch more of Danielson's matches than Nigel's.

1. Samoa Joe - If Aries' second reign was better, he'd had a legit shot. However, it wasn't and this easily goes to the awesome Joe reign.

2. Bryan Danielson - Nigel's title reign was like a roller coaster. Sometimes it was great, other times it was pretty low key. Danielson's was good for the vast majority.

I think I'll go with the same as the others so far. Danielson and Joe seems perfect for the finals. Aries second reign from what I saw didn't seem to be too big, I know he feuded with Petey Williams who was in and out of the company and it was meh... So yeah, Joe and Danielson are my votes.

I'm going to throw my votes to Nigel and Joe. Joe was dominant, there is no way that A Double can match up with him. I'm going with Nigel simply because I enjoyed his overall reign more. He defended the title more than AmDrag, plus I felt that AmDrag's matches became a little predictable and overrated, wherein Nigel's had build and really made the other guy look good as well. Idk, just personal opinion.

Um...how? They both had 38 title defenses with Danielson doing so in less days. :lol:

That was a serious typo on my part...I meant to say that I have seen more of his title defenses than AmDrag. Guess that's my punishment for typing from my phone in a rush, my bad.

OK, but you didn't post Steen unless you meant in a different thread. Anyways.

I am going with A-Double for one main reason. He beat Joe when no one else seemed they could. That to me says alot no matter how dominate someone is if they are beaten by someone and then from what I know couldn't beat them on a return title match that says something. So A-Double here.

Going with Bryan Danielson on this one. Just better to watch IMO. Both were great champions but Bryan's matches were just better to me.

Well, if you want to look at it from a kayfabe point of view, you also have to consider how weaken Joe had become over the course of his title reign. He was banged up and wrestlers were testing his stamina. Like any sort of battle of endurance, sooner or later you're going to run out. So in kayfabe theory, would Aries have beaten Joe if others hadn't weaken him so much?

Now, their three rematches in 2005 tells a different story:

- 3rd Anniversary Celebration - Aries wins with a fluke pinfall when Joe had him in the choke
- Do or Die 4 - Aries stalls for a time limit draw
- Escape From New York - Joe pins Aries cleanly in a Pure Title defense
