Sorry to intervene, but how do you win .5 of a World Championship?

You know, his peak years were before he married Steph. Now, I believe he started winning titles because he was part of the family around 2005 because that reign was one from the title that he vacated. We all know that the 2007 one was for less than a full show, and this 2008 one is pretty much so that Cena doesn't win it (because WWE now knows that Cena is not their top face).

^ You become co-champions with someone else, kind of like Jericho and Chyna did over the Intercontinental Championship in 2000.

lmao Scott Steiner rules end off, anyway I am not a pro wrestler so I dont weather they respect Ric Flair or not but I as a fan respect the hell out of the man. I am one of those people who believe that if Trips hadn't married Steph then he would not have won 12 World Championships but you can't overlook the fact that Triple H can draw either as a face or as heel and HBK does a little bit of a wiseass but I still respect the hell out of him.

I'm sick of all the complaining about Triple H. Honestly, I think the guy is easily one of the smartest men in this business. He was able to marry the boss' daughter and secure himself a main event spot in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. So what? He gets some benefits from being part of the "family"? We all know he would have been pushed to the moon even if he wasn't married to Steph. Sure, maybe he wouldn't have won as many World titles but he still would have been a main eventer.

I'm not an HHH mark or anything, but I'm tired of the same people complaining about Trips' marriage to Steph, its old, get over it

In this topic... People who don't know much about Steiner's career before he decided to roid up.

I agree with you on that, The Steiner Bros. were one of the last great tag teams in an era where there was still such a thing as "great tag teams." (I know, great tag teams...shocking) It's embarrassing what he has become since he started to roid up.

One thing great about this interview was this:

"For one thing, I couldn’t be Triple H because there’s no way I could [have
sex] with Chyna. And he was doing that before she even got face
reconstruction"

There my friends is the greatest pwnjob EVER!!

HHH did got advantage of his situation with Steph. Love him or hate him, there is no doubt about that, and this is coming from a HHH fan.

However, answer me this HHH hater:

1. Did Steph got HHH out of his depush after the MSG incident?
2. Did Steph gave him his first WWE Championships?
3. Did Steph gave HHH the spot on the original DX and therefore a huge push?

Bottom line is, Steph is responsible for HHH being a 12 time World Champion, there is no arguing over that, but she is not responsible for putting HHH where he currently is. Triple H would still be the legend he is today, just that instead of announcers saying he has 12 reigns, he would have 7 or 8, no big difference on my book.

As for Steiner, well, as for Ric Flair not drawing, well, I am not commenting on that, but there had to be something on him :shifty: money :shifty: that had a man who hated him(Eric Bischoff) to keep him on the main event.

As for HBK, well, it is funny he tells a story from the old HBK, a persona HBK has already said was the worse, why don't we hear him complain from the HBK when he came back?

Shame Roxi's chart amounted to the same, tired old null point.

If your saying HHH won 3 world titles in 8 years then another 9 in the last 6 - You're just distorting the stats for your own purposes....

How many peeps debut and clock up a world title reign in their first few years with a company. HHH made it 'up' the hard way, took the punishment for the 'MSG curtain call', went on to win IC, European, KOTR etc.

He wasn't even in the ME until '99 and didn't win a world title until late '99, so that's more like 3 reigns in 3 and a half years. With that kind of record, his drawing power and at least another 5+ years left of top flight competition left it's totally reasonable to see him clock up a bunch more reigns....

I mean, he was even GIVEN the WHC by Bischoff when they split the undisputed title (pressumably for what he could do in terms of carrying a brand).... And yup, you guessed it, that was BEFORE his marriage to Steph.

Said it before but if Austin or Rock were still active they'd also be challenging Flair's record.

I get the impression that a lot of the dumb HHH-bashing is born of people thinking he married Steph at the same time he married her on TV... Jokers!

Get a grip and get over it!

Re; Steiner.

Steiner is shit. He was a lot better when teamed with Rick, but he's clearly just bitter cos he fucked himself up by roiding like hell and can no longer wrestle properly...

His bitching about HHH is born of him looking like utter shit @ RR & NOW 2003.

Steiner wasn't a bad wrestler years back i agree with that he also was good tag team give ya that 2. But he is shit now and has been for some time and thats what people are seeing week in week out, well when he isnt injured that is. Thing is when i think of steiner i dont think yeah he was a good wrestler back in the day i think of what he is doing now and that is a juiced up wrestler with footballs for bicepts, his bodys that batterd with injuries he can hardly move so IMO he is shit.

You seem to think that Triple H and Steph just met one day in 2003 and bam, married. Uh, no, they were in a relationship before that. And it's idiotic to think that there was no "daddyyyyyy book my boyfriend well!!" there, especially in 2002, the year he won THREE titles.

2002 is also the year he returned from his career threatening quad injury which, the way he delt with it, made him somewhat of a locker-room 'hero' and massively improved his standing with the WWE big cheeses and the old-school wrestling fraternity in general.

He returned as THE top man.

...And I tell you this for nothing, having won it am WM18 if it wasn't the era of the undisputed title (which WWE blatantly made a point of sharing between all their biggest stars while it existed), he would have held that belt WAY beyond Backlash 02 and consequently had 2 reigns.

I'm still curious if you (or others) would be similarly hating on SCSA or Rock if they were still fully active today and clocked up 10+ title reigns? Cos they inevitable would have done by now...

Marrying the bosses daughter certainly would't do any career any harm, but HHH would be (as Rock or SCSA would have been) where he is today regardless.

Roxxi missed one important part though. Triple H's first title win came at a time where the WWE felt they had no choice. He wasn't being considered to be pushed that fast but with Stone Cold injured and the Rock shooting movies they had no one else to go to. Fearing the ratings and buy rates would drop...and they didn't!! If anything the ratings went up. Triple H was the champion for quite some time on that first run and without Austin or the Rock...and yet the fans kept watching. That is what earned Triple H his position, not sleeping with Steph...did sleeping with Steph maybe speed up his career? yes. But he would have gotten here anyways without it and would still be recognized as one of the best in the buisness without her because he proved he could carry the company as the main man, while will with Chyna.

This is just dumb.

Roxxi, all your chart does is proves that HHH got a main event push before Steph and would have gotten more title reign's regardless.

You try to skew the results your way buy including the years 1995-1998. I wonder why he didn't win any world titles then? Maybe because he was being brought along at a normal pace. How many people besides Randy Orton and Lesnar win championships within their first couple years?

If anything, this proves that Triple H was already well on his way to being the top guy before he married Stephanie. Maybe she was "hero worshiping" and stuck her claws into a guy that was already on top?

Here are some fact and I don't need a chart or ridiculous assumptions;

Titles before Triple H Married Stephanie: 7 from 1999 to 2002 (4 years)
Titles After Marrying Stephanie: 5 from 2003 to 2008 (6 years)

Holy Shit!!!!!!!! Stephanie is holding Triple H down. He had more title reigns in the four years before marrying Steph then in the 6 years married to her. OMFG! She probably married him just to hold him down from getting more titles!

LOL. Hopefully that's that bullshit buried once and for all, but I got an uncanny feeling...... :(
