I believe that Goldberg thinks he's a better athlete and that Ryback believes he's a better athlete. I also believe that WWE sees this possibility and probably has at least a basic idea to capitalize on it. Does that mean a Goldberg return to WWE? Possibly. Considering that he would just be brought in to put Ryback over (sorry Goldberg marks and Ryback haters, that's what would happen), I seriously doubt it will.
Goldberg was a tremendous athlete. He was in the NFL, which bears this out. He had an in-ring explosiveness and intensity that has rarely, if ever, been matched.
Ryback is a tremendous athlete. Watch the way he moves and the way he works. He has tremendous explosion and intensity, but he hasn't really been around very long.
Could Ryback be better than Goldberg? Yes, he could.
Is he? We don't have enough data to make a judgement yet.
