Cena getting booed is more for the fact that people can't stand his fuckin goody goody perfect role model attitude and they're sick of him being shoved down our throats. I don't think it has anything to do with him doing anything questionable that would garner a heel reaction.
Undertaker gets cheered regardless because he's reached legend status.
Orton is also doing shit to these little do gooders that we all would definitely love to do.

Jeff Hardy surprisingly said it best. When he said in his promo against The Undertaker that he lives in a world of grey. Jeff Hardy would do some of the most death defying things possible, and even did some dirty deeds against Undertaker and Triple H to try and get himself to the top. And he outsells John Cena in merchandise and gets the biggest face pops of anyone in the company. Sadly, he's gone.

That's where TNA makes the mistakes they do. They have the right idea, of trying to mix in shades of grey, but they go about it the entirely wrong way, and end up confusing people more than establishing people with realistic dynamics that you can get behind.

Personally, I think Orton could become much more bigger than Cena and we have yet to actually see his true potential (think CenaMark has said something similar). I thought about this a bit though, and the guy could be big. He has a crazy presence and I respect the fuck out of the fact that he can still seem sadistic without the blood and on a PG show. I have to say, he's boring as fuck on the mic though (and usually in the ring), which is probably part of the mixed reaction. He was much better back in Evolution and post-cocky Legend Killer gimmick. Now he doesn't really say much and just lets his actions do the talking, which he's so good at all the intricate little details that you have to admire.

Exactly. But on that logic, listen to the reaction Randy gets. He barely gets one now when he's not tied in with Cena every fucking night.

I havent watched Raw in a while but I doubt that.
