Its fucking here. About damn time. I will bust my ass on this BTB. 'Nuff said, now please lets get onto the thread.

Backstory: It is October 2006, and the return of ECW is truly starting to make an impact on the WWE empire. After a rocky five months, everything seems to be pulling together with Rob Van Dam running a program with The Big Show, and Sabu in a heated feud with Kurt Angle. More, and more fans are buying tickets to go see ECW shows. The secret of there success? ECW’s newest Creative Head, Michael Adams, which was acquired by WWE after Vince McMahon’s son Shane McMahon putting a good word in, and getting a job with the company. The fans enjoy his booking styles, and the way he’s pushed single stars such as Paul London to mid card status.

The year of 2006 is closing in on the WWE rapidly, as ECW just finished their “December To Dismember” pay per view which was headlined by a five star match, and possible contender for match of the year. An Elimination Chamber consisting of Jeff Hardy, The Big Show, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Kurt Angle, The Sandman, and the newest edition to ECW Montel Vontavious Porter. The spectacle of a match had Jeff Hardy becoming the victor to slowly enter a mega rivalry with Montel Vontavious Porter. ECW buy rates are really expanding now, as ECW has stayed true to its “Extreme” roots. Still a problem seemed to be stirring in between Michael Adams. He had been wanting to work with classic wrestling stars, yet Vince had been dropping constant ‘fresh meat’ onto his roster which really had Adams thinking. Adams neglected the sinful thoughts, and instead continued with the show. ECW hardly played a role at the 2007 Royal Rumble match, but Adams didn’t exactly enjoy that with his roster only having seven stars featured in the match. The match was won by The Undertaker, while in ECW’s main event Jeff Hardy retained against MVP, and The Big Show in an Extreme Rules Match. 2007 seemed to brighten up for the twenty six year old writer. Michael Adams scheduled for a meeting with Vince around two weeks following the “Royal Rumble” pay per view event.

At this even, Michael stressed his dreams of working with icons, and classic stars such as Paul Lévesque, and Shawn Michaels. This dreamed seemed to far out of reach for Michael, as Vince quickly denied a chance of him running Monday Night Raw anytime soon. Michael left the meeting scorched with a heart breaking burn, he would have to stay with ECW for at least another year, before even having the thought of advancement up for discussion. In the meantime, Friday Night Smackdown! began being bombarded with horrible reviews, and bad buy rates, with a ratio half of “December To Dismembers” for “No Way Out”. Vince’s son Shane had just entered some civil troubles with a bad car crash, while his other spawn Stephanie McMahon had a baby on the way any day now. He had no one to run Friday Nigh Smackdown at all. With a huge event by the name “Wrestlemania” on the horizon, Vince had to think quickly. He ran to Titan Tower for help, when an idea seemed to conjure in his head. He immediately contacted Adams, and gave Harry one hell of an assignment. Michael was to write the destruction of Smackdown at the hands of ECW. This historic event would have to be pulled by “Wrestlemania” time. Michael plotted a huge feud starting with Jeff Hardy feuding with his brother which was the US Champion over on ‘The B Brand’. Matt had the World Heavyweight Champion Batista help him out, causing MVP to join the pandemonium. In a short amount of time, this turned into a four on four match up to be scheduled at “Wrestlemania”. A match dubbed ‘ECW VS. SD!’. This would be a spectacle of a match.

At “Wrestlemania” ECW won their match with Smackdown!, and Smackdown! Was officially dead. ECW gained a hour, and half spot on Spike! TV giving Total Nonstop Action a run for their money. The death of Smackdown left several stars brandless, this caused for a ‘Smackdown Pioneers Invasion’ storyline. Batista came over with the defunct World Heavyweight Championship, and defeated The Sandman for his ECW contract. The Undertaker defeated Bobby Lashley, while Ken Kennedy, and MnM defeated Kurt Angle, Sabu, and Test. Slowly, ECW became a very awkward mix of ECW’s high profile stars, and Smackdown’s previous high profile stars. ECW’s new main event scene looked like this: Jeff Hardy, MVP, Batista, The Undertaker, Ken Kennedy, Rob Van Dam, and Big Show. With Adams giving off fresh, and amazing storylines, consisting of his new roster. A side of him still felt jealous of Monday Night RAW’s high profile roster, but Michael just looked at the glass half full, and saw the homage of buy rates between ECW, and RAW.

The year of 2007 went by with RAW, and ECW pushing each other to the limit. Michael Adams grew eager to beat out RAW, and RAW losing fans, and money quick. With all eyes on WWE, no one seemed to notice the gradually, and graceful, not to mention quiet fall of TNA. Vince McMahon seemed to have enough money to hold up four brands at two hour shows each, but somehow decided we reminisce to the past of WWE, and starting August 1st. There will be a competition between the head of creative at RAW, and ECW. Harry will go head to head with Stephanie McMahon, and Shane McMahon. The winning brand with higher gross rates, will have the head writer move on to running the sole brand known as WWE.

August came fast, as the battle was a close one. With Adams having a very slow start after David Batista got injured, but quickly after Triple H suffered injury. It was then announced September 3rd, that ECW grossed 30% higher than RAW, having Michael Adams move to Monday Night Raw in 2008! This left the whole company appalled, as Vince became so greedy with his money, he removed his own children from their jobs. Michael made a swift move into the position, as TNA was now on its peak point of bankruptcy. Adams enjoyed his high class stars, and ran the company exceptionally well. Some said he can run his own company. Some said he was better than Vince McMahon himself. Once word was out to the egotistic maniac known as Vincent Kennedy McMahon, all hell broke lose at WWE offices. Adams replied to Vince’s comments in a very professional manner, as Vince was still his boss, and he didn’t want to say anything drastic. At the 2008 Royal Rumble pay per view, Triple H was scheduled to win, but Vince flexed his power by having a last minute change, and inserting John Cena to win the match. This left Michael bedazzled, and this was the last straw. The two got into a heated argument backstage, which almost led to an actual fist fight. Instead, Michael Adams called his boss an old geezer, and turned away. He decided to approach the manner in a much better way.

Michael had been storing money into his banking account, and only used it at times of need. He attended online classes for business degrees, and entrepreneurship masters. Around the time of “Wrestlemania XXIV” the affects of Michael’s master plan took their toll. With a bogus card, and completely shafted wins the buy rates tended to drop enormously. Michael didn’t fear repercussions at all, as TNA was damaged beyond repair, and he was planning to depart from the empire known as WWE. Before he left, he spoke with Paul Lévesque whom was a close friend to Michael especially after the Royal Rumble incident. The two departed from the company unannounced, and unexpected leaving WWE without a world champion, and without a creative writer, as Michael handled all the storylines. Michael used up his saved money, and in a span of three months had his own counter promotion to the WWE. He had acquired monstrous contracts such as Randy Orton’s, Mark Calloway’s, Shawn Michaels’s, and many more. He also returned several stars in which were out of jobs such as Rikishi, and Sabu. Michal held conferences to tease the new promotion. Eventually, word was out, and the world witnessed the downfall of the WWE, and the rise of a new federation. A Global Wrestling Federation.

Excellent backstory - the drastic measures taken by Vince to essentially give the WWE plastic surgery are quite elaborate.

Is Gail Kim worth mentioning on the roster? She's not going to be hitting the apron at all unless you intend to give her a major role in a Beer Money feud?

I have high expectations for this BTB - don't let me down!

A few quick things I noticed gliding through this (sorry, I'm not in the mood for a proper read, I'll edit later if more comes up):

- Seven people were in the EC
- MVP was made a main eventer in December 06, but he only debuted in October 06. That's faster than a WCW Rules/Sean O'Haire Jesus push. :p
- A writer wouldn't have made anywhere near enough money for all that. I would have included a finanancial backer, or perhaps some sponsors

Apart from that it's looking aight. Don't like the use of Beer Money too much as they can be so much better as singles. Gail's a cool inclusion though, and the Genesis Title seems like a cool name :)shifty:).

Anyhoo, good luck. This one feels good, so don't let anything put you off.

Your Backstory was very creative and was very good. Well thought off and lots of effort was put into it -- you can tell. Though with the mistakes BKB pointed out it is still good nontheles.

Hopefuly your first show starts it off with a bang and Ill be reading. Good luck. Hope this does last.

Wow, cool back story. It seemed odd to me that HHH sided with Michael when his wife helps run the WWE. Something tells me that Hunter did not get sex for a long, long time.

One thing that I'd recommend would be to either drop Gail Kim or pick up more women.

I'll be reviewing once you post a show.

Solid backstory. This looks quite promising, I don't like the idea of Triple H, Undertaker or Michaels leaving the 'E. Just wouldn't happen. One question, why is it in your backstory you mention that Triple H is leaving but then he doesn't even get a mention on the roster?

who's Harry

Lolz, the first general manager/owner was supposed to be Harry Bellefonte which is my past fictional character for NWE, but I changed my mind last minute, as I saw the need to create a new character. So any mentioning of Harry is really Michael Adams.

One question, why is it in your backstory you mention that Triple H is leaving but then he doesn't even get a mention on the roster?

This will be addressed later. Paul Levesque hence Triple H is as of right now a financial backer, and moral support for the company. I will go more in depth with this situation as the BTB progresses.

pwinsider said:
Over the last weeks of the finalization of GWF, reports have been coming in on the set design of the show.

The set will include the standard wrestling ring, with one commentator table ringside, and a smaller table containing the timekeeper, and staffmembers. To seperate fans from ringside, a large security barrier similair to World Wrestling Entertainments will be found surrounding ringside. An entrance ramp won't be included as instead a curtain with some fake war debris can be found at the end of an entrance aisle in which superstars will come from.

---------

GWF has inked a deal with Spike TV! for Monday Night showcasing at 9 o' clock eastern ct. GWF owner Michael Adams, has made it clear to participate with WWE's Monday Night Raw, as Adams isn't hesitant for rating wars.

---------

With GWF yet to make their official debut, they have already signed deals with two reknown finnacial backers. One in which being Burger King, and Netflix. Two industrial behemoths, as they are paying expensies to promote the debut show of GWF.

---------

Speaking of debut show, Michael Adams recently said in an interview with "The Miami Hearld" that GWF will be debuting on pay per view. "Road To Glory" will open up the door's to the future of Sports Entertainment. Controversy on weather or not many buy rates will come in, but still tickets are going fast for seatings at MadisoN Square Garden in New York city, New York.

Expect the preview for Road To Glory up in two, maybe three days.

I have a feeling that this will surprise lots of people. It looks like you've busted your ass doing this, and you really have things set up nicely. The roster seems OK, I think there could be a little more.

The news was OK, but it isn't really important, IMO. You could've included it in a Preview.

No Disqualification Match
Jeff Hardy versus Montel Vontavious Porter

A classic feud between two rivals. At “Road To Glory†we will attempt to spark old flames between the two. Not in any normal match, but a no disqualification match. Jeff Hardy, has the remorse of his brother going into this match, as Montel Vontavious Porter sidelined him several months ago. That is the least of their issues as tonight, after going through their no disqualification match, they will do battle against eighteen other superstars from the GWF roster in a Twenty Man Over The Top Rope Gauntlet for the GWF Championship. Jeff Hardy a veteran in the ring, but never has been a world champion. Jeff Hardy isn’t a stranger to these matches as he is known for his legendary TLC matches. Yet tonight, that is irrelevant to the scenario as his technical master of an opponent Montel Vontavious Porter looks to ground Jeff at all costs tonight. Montel Vontavious Porter also has took himself, and his oppositions to the extreme numerous times. Tonight looks to be no different, as Porter has that ruthless aggression ensconced into his mind frame. This match looks to open up the pay per view in extravagant fashion. But the question is… Will the high flying, legend thrilling, charismatic enigma Jeff Hardy prevail, or will the highest paid superstar in GWF, The playmaker, the only balling superstar get the best of Jeff Hardy?

xpvn6o.png

Singles Match
Chris Sabin versus Alex Shelley

Yes, double take the match name. Tonight we will pit two former tag team partners against one, and another. These two the former “Murder City Machine Gunsâ€, have been probably the best tag team to not make it big. These two had amazing chemistry in the ring, and know each others move sets better than they know their own. The background behind the match is shocking though, as Alex Shelley entered GWF offices asking for his match against the person he once called “brotherâ€. Alex Shelley has motives in which are very clear, as he wants to prove whom was the man carrying the team, and that he was indeed the better wrestler. Chris Sabin, against the idea of the match, as he refused to participate against his former affiliate. Yet with constant calling out in press conferences, and a shoot interview based on Sabin, he couldn’t refuse the match proposal. With the event inked, two former partners will go at it, one on one. Now Alex won’t hold a thing back, when his equivalent Chris might. Will Chris Sabin’s past with his opponent tonight bring back to good of memory’s keeping Sabin from going over, or will Alex Shelley’s nothing held back mentality overwhelm him leaving a cheap victory tonight?

Losing Team Must Disband Permanently
Paul London, and Brian Kendrick versus John Morrison, and The Miz

Two teams, which have earned championship gold in the past two years. They have stuck together thick, and thin, and have showed their ability to work together. Paul London, and Brian Kendrick, together The Hooliganz. A very dominant team which have won tag team gold on separate occasions. Paul London, a light weight veteran, teaming with Brian Kendrick a man whom may have a very successful future as wrestler. In the other corner, we have The Miz, whom has been nothing, but a stepping stone in others careers before teaming with John Morrison whom is a former world champion. These two, at first couldn’t get the job done, but quickly they developed an incredible relationship together. With The Miz’s improvement, and Morrison’s gifted talent these two have perfect chemistry, and are only in their prime. With a tag team championship, and tag team of the year award under their belts maybe they should go to singles competition, or should they squeeze as much as they can from each other? With the losing team disbanding neither will want to earn a L to their GWF record. Especially not an L in which they disband. Will the high flying, energetic Paul London, and Brian Kendrick overcome the odds, or will The dirty superstars, go at all costs to win?

Twenty Man Over the Top Rope Gauntlet Match
For the GWF Championship

Beginning with the two men who chose entry numbers one and two in the ring. At regular timed intervals, tonight it is 120 seconds, one of the remaining 18 wrestlers enters the ring. Participants must eliminate all other opponents, and the winner of the event is the last wrestler remaining after all others have been eliminated. In order to cause an elimination, a wrestler must be leave the ring over the top rope, with both feet touching the floor. One of the referees before you must witness the elimination. After the contest, the winner will be awarded the GWF Championship by our general manager Michael Adams. With all at stake, the known competitors for the match are former world champion Shawn Michaels, second generation superstar Carlito Cool, Ted Dibiase JR, and his partner Cody Rhodes, Shelton Benjamin, extremist Sabu, Umaga, former world champions The Big Show, and CM Punk, Mr. Ken Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Montel Vontavious Porter, former world champion Randy Orton, and Rikishi will all be heading into this with gold on their mind. Also, five unknown participants will enter the match with the same intentions. Anyone can win, but the query is whom will accomplish the task? Who will outlast 19 other superstars in a battle to remember?

Chris Sabin versus Alex Shelley
This is a match that I'm looking forward to.

Paul London, and Brian Kendrick versus John Morrison, and The Miz
I'm not sure who will win, but I'm betting that the losing team will end up feuding.

I'm thinking that Orton will win the gauntlet.

Visually, the entire concept is motivating. I'm hesitant to start my own BTB due to a few reasons I'll explain in the Lounge later, but reading this preview is tempting me.

Your card is excellent. It's compact but fulfilling. Interesting that you have refrained from presenting all the titles as up-for-grabs in this show.

Predictions

Jeff Hardy vs. MVP - I expect MVP to shake up Jeff with his wrestling nous and technical expertise but the whole match feels like one-way traffic, like how I felt in The Undertaker vs. Edge HIAC. Jeff will eventually overcome MVP.

Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley - Sabin is Genesis Championship bound IMO.

The Miz & John Morrison vs. Brian Kendrick & Paul London - Flip of the coin. This is a tease, as John Morrison or Brian Kendrick must be in the plans for title pursuing as singles in the future.

Twenty Man Over The Top Rope Gauntlet Match Winner: Shawn Michaels - Warming the belt for Lesnar's debut. :)

Thanks for the feedback, but I made a rookie mistake, as I'm deciding on changing the title designed for the mid card which was formely known as the Continental Championship, I will change it to the No Limits Championship. Figured Continental was done to much, and was to generic based on the IC championship.

- Jeff Hardy wins. Pretty said actually, but unless you plan to keep this feud going, in which case MVP would win, Hardy has this one and rather clean.

- John Morrison and The Miz win, then you separate London and Kendrick. I doubt you'll go with the "The Brian Kendrick" character, but I do feel you'll push Brian Kendrick with a similar personality or gimmick.

- Pushing Chris Sabin is too SWAish :shifty:. Then again, he's better than Shelley, so he wins this one.

- The Gauntlet is either between Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton, and I agree both would be facing Brock Lesnar at your biggest PPV. Uhmm, I don't know what you would do, Lesnar vs Orton is rather interesting, I for one havent seen this feud, obviously not in real life nor in BTB, but HBK vs Lesnar also could be a good match. I have a gut feeling you'll for creating a moment and have the face win the Gauntlet. HBK wins this one.

When is RTG? I can only assume Glory Road is 6 months from now so I'm not predicting either Lesnar to debut at GR or the title holder from the gauntlet to be the title-holder at GR.
