Its fucking here. About damn time. I will bust my ass on this BTB. 'Nuff said, now please lets get onto the thread.
Global Wrestling Federation
Backstory: It is October 2006, and the return of ECW is truly starting to make an impact on the WWE empire. After a rocky five months, everything seems to be pulling together with Rob Van Dam running a program with The Big Show, and Sabu in a heated feud with Kurt Angle. More, and more fans are buying tickets to go see ECW shows. The secret of there success? ECW’s newest Creative Head, Michael Adams, which was acquired by WWE after Vince McMahon’s son Shane McMahon putting a good word in, and getting a job with the company. The fans enjoy his booking styles, and the way he’s pushed single stars such as Paul London to mid card status.
The year of 2006 is closing in on the WWE rapidly, as ECW just finished their “December To Dismember” pay per view which was headlined by a five star match, and possible contender for match of the year. An Elimination Chamber consisting of Jeff Hardy, The Big Show, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Kurt Angle, The Sandman, and the newest edition to ECW Montel Vontavious Porter. The spectacle of a match had Jeff Hardy becoming the victor to slowly enter a mega rivalry with Montel Vontavious Porter. ECW buy rates are really expanding now, as ECW has stayed true to its “Extreme” roots. Still a problem seemed to be stirring in between Michael Adams. He had been wanting to work with classic wrestling stars, yet Vince had been dropping constant ‘fresh meat’ onto his roster which really had Adams thinking. Adams neglected the sinful thoughts, and instead continued with the show. ECW hardly played a role at the 2007 Royal Rumble match, but Adams didn’t exactly enjoy that with his roster only having seven stars featured in the match. The match was won by The Undertaker, while in ECW’s main event Jeff Hardy retained against MVP, and The Big Show in an Extreme Rules Match. 2007 seemed to brighten up for the twenty six year old writer. Michael Adams scheduled for a meeting with Vince around two weeks following the “Royal Rumble” pay per view event.
At this even, Michael stressed his dreams of working with icons, and classic stars such as Paul Lévesque, and Shawn Michaels. This dreamed seemed to far out of reach for Michael, as Vince quickly denied a chance of him running Monday Night Raw anytime soon. Michael left the meeting scorched with a heart breaking burn, he would have to stay with ECW for at least another year, before even having the thought of advancement up for discussion. In the meantime, Friday Night Smackdown! began being bombarded with horrible reviews, and bad buy rates, with a ratio half of “December To Dismembers” for “No Way Out”. Vince’s son Shane had just entered some civil troubles with a bad car crash, while his other spawn Stephanie McMahon had a baby on the way any day now. He had no one to run Friday Nigh Smackdown at all. With a huge event by the name “Wrestlemania” on the horizon, Vince had to think quickly. He ran to Titan Tower for help, when an idea seemed to conjure in his head. He immediately contacted Adams, and gave Harry one hell of an assignment. Michael was to write the destruction of Smackdown at the hands of ECW. This historic event would have to be pulled by “Wrestlemania” time. Michael plotted a huge feud starting with Jeff Hardy feuding with his brother which was the US Champion over on ‘The B Brand’. Matt had the World Heavyweight Champion Batista help him out, causing MVP to join the pandemonium. In a short amount of time, this turned into a four on four match up to be scheduled at “Wrestlemania”. A match dubbed ‘ECW VS. SD!’. This would be a spectacle of a match.
At “Wrestlemania” ECW won their match with Smackdown!, and Smackdown! Was officially dead. ECW gained a hour, and half spot on Spike! TV giving Total Nonstop Action a run for their money. The death of Smackdown left several stars brandless, this caused for a ‘Smackdown Pioneers Invasion’ storyline. Batista came over with the defunct World Heavyweight Championship, and defeated The Sandman for his ECW contract. The Undertaker defeated Bobby Lashley, while Ken Kennedy, and MnM defeated Kurt Angle, Sabu, and Test. Slowly, ECW became a very awkward mix of ECW’s high profile stars, and Smackdown’s previous high profile stars. ECW’s new main event scene looked like this: Jeff Hardy, MVP, Batista, The Undertaker, Ken Kennedy, Rob Van Dam, and Big Show. With Adams giving off fresh, and amazing storylines, consisting of his new roster. A side of him still felt jealous of Monday Night RAW’s high profile roster, but Michael just looked at the glass half full, and saw the homage of buy rates between ECW, and RAW.
The year of 2007 went by with RAW, and ECW pushing each other to the limit. Michael Adams grew eager to beat out RAW, and RAW losing fans, and money quick. With all eyes on WWE, no one seemed to notice the gradually, and graceful, not to mention quiet fall of TNA. Vince McMahon seemed to have enough money to hold up four brands at two hour shows each, but somehow decided we reminisce to the past of WWE, and starting August 1st. There will be a competition between the head of creative at RAW, and ECW. Harry will go head to head with Stephanie McMahon, and Shane McMahon. The winning brand with higher gross rates, will have the head writer move on to running the sole brand known as WWE.
August came fast, as the battle was a close one. With Adams having a very slow start after David Batista got injured, but quickly after Triple H suffered injury. It was then announced September 3rd, that ECW grossed 30% higher than RAW, having Michael Adams move to Monday Night Raw in 2008! This left the whole company appalled, as Vince became so greedy with his money, he removed his own children from their jobs. Michael made a swift move into the position, as TNA was now on its peak point of bankruptcy. Adams enjoyed his high class stars, and ran the company exceptionally well. Some said he can run his own company. Some said he was better than Vince McMahon himself. Once word was out to the egotistic maniac known as Vincent Kennedy McMahon, all hell broke lose at WWE offices. Adams replied to Vince’s comments in a very professional manner, as Vince was still his boss, and he didn’t want to say anything drastic. At the 2008 Royal Rumble pay per view, Triple H was scheduled to win, but Vince flexed his power by having a last minute change, and inserting John Cena to win the match. This left Michael bedazzled, and this was the last straw. The two got into a heated argument backstage, which almost led to an actual fist fight. Instead, Michael Adams called his boss an old geezer, and turned away. He decided to approach the manner in a much better way.
Michael had been storing money into his banking account, and only used it at times of need. He attended online classes for business degrees, and entrepreneurship masters. Around the time of “Wrestlemania XXIV” the affects of Michael’s master plan took their toll. With a bogus card, and completely shafted wins the buy rates tended to drop enormously. Michael didn’t fear repercussions at all, as TNA was damaged beyond repair, and he was planning to depart from the empire known as WWE. Before he left, he spoke with Paul Lévesque whom was a close friend to Michael especially after the Royal Rumble incident. The two departed from the company unannounced, and unexpected leaving WWE without a world champion, and without a creative writer, as Michael handled all the storylines. Michael used up his saved money, and in a span of three months had his own counter promotion to the WWE. He had acquired monstrous contracts such as Randy Orton’s, Mark Calloway’s, Shawn Michaels’s, and many more. He also returned several stars in which were out of jobs such as Rikishi, and Sabu. Michal held conferences to tease the new promotion. Eventually, word was out, and the world witnessed the downfall of the WWE, and the rise of a new federation. A Global Wrestling Federation.
