As deserving as he is, I really don't think they will. With their upper card so thin, you'd also think they'd activate Daniel Bryan. A Daniel Bryan and Cesaro match in the tournament would be awesome but that is the very definition of wishful thinking on my part.

Yup, can't argue with that. That was just fantasy booking on my part.

You know what would be AWESOME, though?! Sheamus cashing in at the end of the night, baybay. :eek:tunga:

If you dislike change that is fine, but don't speak for others. If Reigns was booked as I suggested why get your panties in such a bunch about it?
Stacking the deck is old as stale bread. If the audience hasn't gotten used to it, then it is time they should.

John Cena dresses like a child, WWE's target audience. Mothers dress their child like Cena and make no qualms about it.
Ambrose dresses like a inebriated street fighter. It isn't the same. Ambrose looks like a dead beat dad. Why would WWE market that?
Miz was in the same boat, switched to trunks and suddenly McMahon was very high on him.
Ambrose can manage alright. He can manage to carry Reigns bags and settle being midcard for life. He's better than being a f*cking Sandman (ECW) clone.

People are already used to seeing Reigns demonstrate his human side, so that magic aura of being the mysterious, silent bad-ass who tears through foe after foe and keeps people interested wouldn't have the same effect in my view if they started booking him that way now. The novelty of that is gone. From this point forward, Reigns has to sink or swim based on improving the facets of his personality that we HAVE seen from him. Realizing that doesn't mean that I somehow dislike change.

As for your other points, John Cena doesn't "dress like a child." There isn't anything strange or unusual about adults wearing the kind of clothes that he does, and he's been wearing that same attire since he was still an edgy character in 2003/2004, long before they started marketing him as any kind of role model to children. Ambrose looks like a street fighter because it's completely consistent with his character. It's already bad enough that about the "edgiest" Dean's character can get under the PG banner is spraying ketchup and mustard in people's faces and beating up a mannequin of his most hated rival, let's not further go down that road by taking away stuff like his unconventional attire that actually makes him stand out compared to others.

I seem to remember Cena having a somehow decent last man standing match with Khali at one point, if that doesn't show his quality I'm not sure what will. He isn't a great worker the majority of the time but he does have it in his locker so to speak.

I think you're thinking of Cena's Last Man Standing match with Umaga at the '07 Royal Rumble, which was quite possibly the greatest LMS match in history (loved hearing JR yell, "goddamn!" at the end without being bleeped.) His matches with Khali were standard stuff with very Hogan-esque booking where Cena got beat down 98% of the match and then made a superhuman comeback only at the end and won.

Possibly, it's been a long time since I caught the Khali match (oddly enough it isn't in my regular rotation) I thought he ended up selling Khali pretty well but yeah I'll find it and go over it at some point.
