Exactly, I never heard anyone say he sucked on the mic. Even when he first started. That was my point. Roman will never be able to touch him with mic skills. Not even come close.
They should give him the laid back gimmick. Like Nash. He won't need to talk too much and he'll be able to play off of anything with stupid one-liners.

Dude. That would be really really good.

The one thing I would change is that instead of triple h coming out sarcastily, have Stephanie do it. Have her say something along the lines of "Congratulations Roman! Btw I forgot to mention you have another opponent" and then silence for a few seconds until the speakers hits *IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME* and every mark on the arena pass-out from too much blood down their pants.

I agree that'd be better. Would really fit to have Stephanie hype up the mysterious opponent as someone really important, calling him the greatest WWE Champion of all time and stuff, and then introducing him as her husband, "The Game" Triple H.

He's too involved with charities to turn heel, but feuding with HHH doesn't fix Reigns problem biggest issue (He needs a reboot)
HHH ought to win the championship but leave his sh*thead wife out of it.
Reigns should lose just as Lockard suggested but reboot him into a Lesnar type of worker defeating unknown jobbers 2 or 3 at a time during all TV matches.
This prevents him from 'burying' talent the Universe actually prefers to cheer (i.e New Day)
When it comes time for PPV's he, as Lesnar does, wrestles a solid babyface style match. Come Wrestlemania, he topples Braun Strowman.

Since HHH wins the championship, it does free Ambrose to win the Rumble.
His ring gear is awful and his ring work needs work but if Reigns gets 'demoted' that extra heat will transfer to Ambrose the way Eddie's did to Rey in 2005.
Reigns slow build as the company's babyface will coincide with Ambrose ascent to the top.
This scenario frees them to be smart. Ambrose is too Piper like. Switching to trunks is a step toward being taken seriously in a corporate company.

Reigns can pull this off and regain the mystique he had no business losing. Ambrose can take the ball because WWE has a great supporting cast behind him.

I don't know if you can put the genie back into the bottle in regards to trying to get Reigns over in the "bad-ass Goldberg squash match" type of way. Once we've become accustomed to seeing him wrestle superstars on the main roster and even main eventing Wrestlemania, I think a lot of folks would wonder why he's even being booked against unknown jobbers that we know don't stand a chance against him.

In regards to Ambrose swooping his casual tank-top and jeans for a pair of normal wrestling trunks, no. Just no. His attire already fits him perfectly, since he's supposed to an unconventional character to begin with, and wearing the clothes he does makes it look like he came to fight without bothering to put on the more standard wrestling gear. Not everyone has to be suited with generic wrestling tights. The Wyatts aren't either. John Cena has been the face of the company for over a decade while sporting unconventional wrestling attire like jorts and sneakers to the ring. Ambrose can manage.

I am all for the triple h run, believe me, but triple h is beyond busy as it is. Between nxt and wwe as a whole, and his family, he has no time for jack shit. So him being the top dog until mania 32... Well, it can work but I feel they should just put the belt on Roman already and quit dancing around it.

We all know he's the next cena, a better versions at least, so why not let him just get the championship already? It doesn't feel as forced, he's gotten better, and they pushed off his title win. Let him win it already.

I like Roman a lot more than what I did. Let him win.

I don't know if I agree with this. Is Roman really better than Cena?

Yes for sure. Roman needs some mic improvement, which can keep getting better, but I feel his wrestling, look, and overall persona is better than cenas.

I don't know, man. Cena's shit but has had some great matches. Even if he's against people who can "carry" him, it takes two to tango. He is lightyears ahead of Reigns on the mic. That's where the Cena comparisons become harder to make, because if Reigns is good in the ring and bad/average on the mic, he isn't in the same lane as Cena. On paper, it'd make more sense to compare him to Goldberg or Batista.

Well, yeah, if you hand someone countless main events, they're bound to have some great matches. It does take two to tango and I feel that Roman vs bray, DB, Brock, Seth are just some examples of where Roman is leagues ahead of cena in the ring. He's already putting on crazy good matches, whereas it took cena a long time to get where he is.

My hope is that Roman will be given a little more freedom with the mic once he's champion. And he speaks less. That's my hope and he will be fine.

Yeah, I don't hate Roman, and I'm fine with him getting the belt right now, I just don't agree with you that he's way better than Cena in the ring. To put it better, I think the gap between Cena and Roman in the ring is closer than Cena and Reigns on the mic.

He'll grow on me though as he transforms into the quiet badass type. What a qt.

I agree mostly. I'm at the moment rooting for Reigns with the belt and would love to see him take on a few lesser guys on his way to a Lesnar rematch at Wrestlemania. But give it to Reigns and it creates many new dynamics for main events over the next few months.

I'd love to see Lesnar in the Rumble. Perhaps have Braun clear and dominate the ring for a while like Diesel in 1994 or Austin in 1997... only to have Lesnar enter and you know the crowd would eat that up. But as much as I didn't want Lesnar vs Reigns last Wrestlemania, I kind of want it that much though.

Cena's had some great matches indeed, but one of the reasons for that are because he was working with a good/great worker. See: Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, etc.

Not sure if he'd be able to put on a good/great match and basically make lemonades out of diarrhoea (like NJPW's Hiroshi Tanahashi) if he was working with someone of Strowman's caliber, for an example.

I see what you're saying. I remember when Reigns somehow had a good match with Big Show. I still think that it takes two to make a match good, but Cena does get to work with the best, so....
