I saw her today, the girl I like. She gave me a smile, and I smiled back, and we talked. She had her younger sister with her though, who's just arrived in HS, which is kinda awkward for me. BUT... knowing the rest of her family won't hurt, seeing as I know her two older brothers, and one of them is my best friend of sorts.

The father likes me, not so sure of the mother. I'm not trying to have the family accept me for the sake of going out with her, though, as I've been best friends with her brother for two years now. I've recently just met her last year, actually, when he introduced me to her. I had seen her around before in school, though. It's risky, for sure. He DID say, however, that he didn't care if his friends liked his sister, only if they treated her right. Knowing my chivalrous nature, I know I would. He would only kick someone's ass if he didn't know 'em.

Dude. Good luck. I used to fucking hate meeting my wife's family. It would alwas be so awkward. But know it is ok as i really know and like all of her family. Just go with the flow and don't say anything unreasonable.

I've always been good with parents. My inappropriate jokes usually don't slip out when I speak with them, and since I usually act more relaxed than most I spose.
I always have a problem liking older girls. Where I'm around often girls look up, not around if you know what I mean. They'd rather go out with somoe douche 18 year old just to seem 'grown up'.
Yet another problem with this girl I like, she is hot (and I mean hot) and I see guys hitting on her all the time, just like me. I can't help but get jealous. And now she's sort of getting buddies with my best friend, which is starting to piss me off for the simple fact she'll ignore me and talk to him instead But I can't say anything cos I'll look like a wanker if I say 'she only likes you to piss me off'

Well, I've been in his house, her house, same crap. Normally, the guy would meet the family LAST and the girl FIRST; it's the other way around for me, since I met her father, mother, and older brothers first, and her following, though her sister had been rather inconspicuous. Me, her brother, and 2 other guys used to hang around their house before, but her brother has a girlfriend now, and one of the other guys went out with her twin sister, but they broke up and she's annoying as hell, and our four man clique hasn't been the same since, unfortunately. Me and the other hopeless romantic are the only ones left untouched by a relationship.

Alright dude, I kinda know what you mean from experience ... because one of my mates told me to back the fuck off when I was merely friends with the girl he liked. I had been since before he had liked her, yet he made a stupid, stupid mistake. He admitted it a couple of weeks later when he actually got over her though.
Don't tell him to back off. Rather, just find someone to talk to near them when they are talking, and stay near. When she stops talking to him, you can go talk to her. Telling the guy to back off will make you look like a complete asshole, which of course you don't want.

The problem I have is she started being friends with him immeadiately (and -HBK- means IMMEADIATELY) when she started hating me. She sorta did a little hissy fit and then said she'd talk to my friend instead. Now she is flat out flirting with him and ignoring me when I'm with him and she comes over.
But yeah, no way I'm gonna tell him to back off. It's just gonna end up shitting out for me as she'll get angrier since I'm jealous so to speak she does that stuff with him instead of me now.
And I'm on the end of a double edged sword at the moment too. The only way I may get her to be friends with me again is if I tell her how I feel, and if I do that from my personal standpoitn I won't be able to look her in the eye again unless she feels the same way. But my game plan is get her to forgive me then sorta drop hints to her until I think i'm ready

Boyo, I'll tell ya now, sometimes waiting gets ya nowhere. Dropping hints here and there, sometimes it doesn't work. I know from personal experience, and sooner or later, they get tired of waiting for you to say something and move on to some douche who doesn't care and rather get in her pants for their sexual pleasure.
