Apoho Creed

I'm the Doctor

This is going to be my second Year get into Formula One. It all started when I watched The Drive to Survive Doc Series on Netflix and boy I was hooked. I just hope we can get some of surprise wins here and there, because Jesus I was kinda bummed staying up to the wee Hours of the Morning to see the same two or three guys finish at the top of the Leaderboard early every Race.

This is will officially be the place to talk Formula 1 throughout the Season and hell why not talk about news going on within the Sport. I posted the Teaser Trailer for the Third and very exciting Drive to Survive Season for Formula 1 on Netflix. Both the first two Seasons gave me incite on what was all going down and this Season could be even better with the Covid hitting the World and everyone in Formula Racing having to adjust the best way they can March 19th!

I'm still a rookie towards Formula 1 so I'm still interested in going back to see past Years from Formula 1 and enjoy it.

You got a favourite team? Or favourite drivers?

Well right now Ferrari with Charles Leclerc and Riccardo with McLaren are my two favorite Drivers. When I first started watching Drive to Survive and watching F1 those two guys made me really interested in continuing watching. I know the history with Riccardo being with Red Bull for Years through the Show and I'm hoping he turns it up this Year.

(Apologies if a thread for this already exists but couldn't find one so decided to create one.)

As a kid, I loved watching Formula One with my dad, every Sunday (of the season) we'd sit down and watch the race. Then as I got older I got sick of the motorsport as it got boring to me in the Sebastien Vettel era. And it seemed similarly boring as Lewis Hamilton began monopolising the F1 Drivers Championship himself.

Now though, F1 has a real title race and Max Verstappen and Hamilton are having a Rock v Austin level feud and the F1 grid is filled with likable, charismatic personalities who race with courage, something F1 has missed for a long time.

Not sure how many on this forum actually watch and care about F1 but couldn't help but make a thread for it, looking very forward to the Belgium Grand Prix next weekend.

I was interested in getting into it for a while, but I honestly can't get into motorsports. I don't see the appeal or what the competitive part about it is. Is the pull of it the technical aspect or the allure of watching a burnout? I don't really get it.

I think, like most things, a hot feud is key. Hamilton and Verstappen (aswell as Mercedes and Red Bull by proxy) are probably having not just the most interesting feud in motorsport right now but sport in general. And on top of that F1 is nailing the promotion of the feud and title race in a way wrestling promotions today could take a lesson from.
And on top of that they've sorta taken the UFC route on the simple but significant method of highlighting their roster's charisma and likability not just as performers but as personalities.

As for the racing itself, I love watching overtakes and seeing the race strategies teams implement, and there is something admirable about the risk drivers take just by racing wheel to wheel at the speeds they do.

I certainly don't enjoy as much as footie but deffo been doing more for me than pro wrestling as of late.

Is Extreme And Lives For The Coming Out
I'm a fan of F1 and Alfa Romeo. I'm looking forward to a great Finn replacing a legendary Finn next year.
