Me too when I did retail for those few months but this was an on campus desk job, I never did restaurants either

I was the only other person that could open or close besides the manager and I'd always be like where's your 12 hour days huh

thankfully we closed at 9 tho

So it was like 8-10 shift, less bc I could close in 15 mins if I had a competent person helping clean

especially when the morning shift included emptying the fryers

We were supposed to get a 2 hour lunch those days too but when half the employees couldn't work the register and there's only 2 working at a time that's kinda hard

that one mall resto job i had, the grease trap was across the fucking mall

had to walk with two huge buckets of grease all the way there, hungover as fuck
