I feel like that complaint held a lot more weight early in the days of AEW when they didn't have a ton of established stars, not so much anymore. Now, they have a well-established roster and I don't think it's gonna hurt anything for you to not know a person's whole story before they walk through the curtain.

and I do think if 5 years in, if AEW's storytelling methods aren't for you, it's ok to just realize it may not be the best product for you. a lot of us like it and don't really want it to change because...well we've been here for 5 years and have enjoyed the large portion of it lol

Well sure. If you look at any tweet or post that shared that O'Dea quote from CVV, you don't really see any legit AEW fans under it saying "yeah, what this company really needs is more video packages to explain who people are". Just a bunch of sad lovers whose personality is based around bashing TK bitching about something they never intend to enjoy.
