Oh yeah. I probably would enjoy them games. I do have the first two and the second one in two variants... I just didn't get far into the first one when I tried it out

I believe there was DLC for part 2 where it basically shows a quick graphic novel type thing of the first game and even lets you make choices for it like you played the game.

so you could always do that and skip the first game but i would still recommend it.

One of my favorite game series of all time. Baldur's Gate 3 is a lot like it actually. just sci fi and more gears of war style combat instead of turn based.

i couldn't play as anything but a soldier in the first game because the magic was too complicated to figure out for me.
