the world he creates is pretty fucking unbelievable. Definitely a long read though

yeah the world building was what got me so into ASOIAF too

The first book is really cool if you've already watched the show bc it's super close, most of the changes were a few characters being combined and some stuff cut bc they didn't actually have a big budget for season 1 lol

Book 1 and book 2 are almost exact to seasons 1 and 2 with those changes tho lol seasons 3 and 4 are mostly book 3 which is the best one but they start some book 4 and 5 stuff in in season 4

3 and 5 are the longest books, probably the best two as well

I mean the books are roughly the same length as Harry Potter except 5

I thought 3 was about the same length as 5 myself. I think 4 was the shortest with 1 and 2 not that much longer

Book 3 was insane tho, it had the red weddingz purple wedding, the Oberyn vs Mountain fight all it like what the fuck bro

5 is probably my favorite world building book of the series, which makes me more angry it's taking so long for the sequels lol

He does arguably convolute the story in it tho lol a lot of book 5 wasn't even in the show
