Do you really think the best choice right now would be to make jokes at the expense of a minority that, once again, as I am re-explaining from yesterday, is having their liberties and right to exist threatened by the United States Government, both on a federal and state level. A comedian has a certain sense of influence because of what they stand for and the people they can reach; people generally find comedy as escapism or as a way of dealing with hard topics in a way that they can stomach without screaming. Hawkeye from MASH sums up comedy extremely well, "I make jokes and laugh because if I don't the only thing coming out of my mouth would be screaming". When you make offensive jokes, it's about structure.
