If there is an issue that is pressing and substantial, then they can press some limits on your freedoms in the Charter if it is rationally connected, minimally impairing, and the harm done by the limit does not outweigh the harm if it was not.

I mean yeah, America has similar limits on freedom of speech, such as it being illegal to yell "fire" in a theater.

Exactly, if it is likely to cause a riot or a mass hysterical panic and is false information, it is not protected speech.

There's no reason to yell or say shit like that anyways except to cause a panic if its not real. Free speech is good and all but it doesn't give you a right to be a total asshole or moron

It is one of the early things you learn in Constitutional Law, and I even learned it in Political Science undergrad. I honestly WISH that it was taught decently well to people. Hell there are people who have tried to "plead the fifth" here (We don't have it) then talk about gun rights (we don't have them in terms of what they think it means) Legit because we have so much media from the US and our countries are relatively similar, there are things which people get confused with so easily from the States.
