That happens to everyone. I'm not from the biggest place in England but one of my first times in Canada I met someone who worked here. It's crazy.

Haha I didn't go that far was just a Canadian guy who had worked over here. So happens worked at a place I know of and his kids were born over here. Sat next to me in a bar in Toronto.

whenever ive gone travelling and someone goes are you from london - i normally just put on polish accent and say no english [abroad]

Depends where you are. In Canada I know the English accent is like a golden ticket.
