And the retro commercials and skits they do. I enjoyed them initially and I understand they appeal to the old school folks, but they make the show seem literally stuck in the past.

So I do feel like part of the challenge will be keeping up things that will please the traditional crowd while also avoiding things that will just turn off modern crowds.

You can definitely do nostalgia without making it hokey.

What if Ted Turner just buys the NWA outright out of pocket as a pet project of his own?

I was also looking at his rival bidder for the Panthers, Ben Navarro. A more lowkey option.

NWA gets to be based in Charlotte/Greensboro, and can get Atlanta pretty easily, so then you actually get a nice small scale territory war between Impact (Canada), WWF (New York, New England, Midwest), NWA (Mid-Atlantic and South-East), and AEW (South-East and Mid-South).

I think it's nice though that we're having a small renaissance in wrestling.

AEW is on TNT now, but I think a good project would to have someone buy NWA and have Power debut on TNT.

Impact, AEW, WWE, NWA, and MLW are all viable alternatives to each other.
