I do tend to like to go with sports teams owners and the sort for my fictional owners, but at the same time, NWA is such a low value commodity, I don't think a fucking billionaire would care for it

NWA isn’t really a company. It’s more of a historical name brand with great ip and history.

If you’re looking to start a brand new company from the ground up anyway, buying the NWA name is worth it.

If Tony had bought NWA and put it on TNT, Magic.

Well keep in mind I just hatched this idea in the last 15 minutes but all I wanna really do is give NWA a new owner, a new homebase, and like 50% new wrestlers

Most of the NWA contracts are expiring so this is actually pretty realistic. Any reason you don’t want Billy?

Not really. I just think with Billy, I'd kind of be boxed into the super traditional/throwback style that is his brainchild. I'd like to go more modern with things, while keeping some of those traditional sensibilities (IE studio setting, interviews at a podium, story driven shows)

Of course I don't HAVE to adhere to that stuff, I just feel like a new owner makes it easier for me to rationalize in my own mind.

I haven’t seen much of Power, but what specifically turns you off?

Well, he's 63, first off, despite being born in Pittsburgh, and he's an investor secondly. As owner of the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC, he has a base in Charlotte, North Carolina, a historically important area for the NWA.

A big part of it is characters like The Question Mark, and wrestlers like CW Anderson and The Wildcards who I just don't see spending time on
