I'd have to see his Presidential platform, but it doesn't look good.

I'm honestly not sure what I'm doing for 2020. I'm hoping for a moderate Republican to run against Trump or a Democrat with a reasonable platform.

At this point, I'd just love to see some hilarious revenge candidate that goes polar in the opposite direction and does something like a complete 2nd amendment repeal to see the outrage and fat rednecks throw a tantrum but then do nothing despite their threatening a cival war. Or, have them do something and get slaughtered.

Though, given that's unlikely to happen..I'll probably just go with a very science friendly candidate that has a strong stance on environmental conservatism. Also, someone who wants to expand future forward jobs in tech and work on replacing dated jobs involving fossil fuels and things of that nature.

I'd have to say I feel the exact opposite as that. Maybe we get a candidate that's not extreme on one side or the other. Bring unity back to politics. I'm over having people hate people over the 2016 elections already.

The only real gripe I have with right wing politics is they tend to be anti-science these days, and also frequently are against social issues like LGBT rights. I do like some of the more business friendly economics, but wish those were more focused towards science related businesses and tech, instead of clinging to lining their pockets on fossil fuels.

Science, future forward, and at the same time promoting and sustaining environmental conservatism are my biggest things.

My biggest problem with LGBT is I think they put too many letters together when it's possible to support some of those letters and not some others. There are some major differences between them. That said, I think the majority of social conservatism is outdated and honestly we're not going to go backwards anywhere we're already evolved so I don't tend to look at that part of a candidate's policy. Gay marriage isn't going anywhere so they can be against it all they want, they ain't doing anything about it.

True. I also think that far too many on the right are obsessed with aspects of the constitution and founding fathers, but much like their religious beliefs, entirely cherry pick them.

I have no issue with owning firearms or whatever, but the flat out obsession many have with it to the point of willing to die for it is silly and absurd.

The constitution is important. Without it we're just another country. They established the laws like that for a reason so future leaders couldn't just do what they wanted with the country. Without that willingness to die for it, this country wouldn't be here. Not in 1776, not during or after the Civil War in 1861. There's a reason it's the 2nd Amendment. It's what protects all the other amendments.
