Yeah, I still scratch my head on the reasoning of that. But for some reason, both democrats and republicans feel the need to show unwavering support to Israel. Meanwhile, they do worse things than most countries we invade over their actions. Ah well.

Russia is playing the long game. That's for sure.

England sure sucks at exiting itself.

I think Italy is quite impressive, as is China and Japan when you think of it. Just how old they are, and how they have continued to have a decent amount of success non-stop as a power.

America being only a few hundred years old is a mere infant to some of these nations.

 

[Kross Rhodes]

I'm probably the most impressed with Japan. It's such a small island when you think about it, but they're the third largest economy in the world IIRC. Plus, they rebuilt their army and status around the world after the fallout that was WW2.

They mostly stick themselves as well.

 

[Sakura]

I think a lot of people forget that, tbh. We are still a very young country. I mean, think about Rome when it was only as old as us. And yeah, true. And look how fast they have managed to rebuild each time. Their cultural discipline and innovation is possibly unmatched.

Only 200+ years. Not many nations younger than that. Certainly not world leaders.

Japan though has changed so much and changed so little at the same time across the ages.

 

[Sakura]

You look at the other big players, and they are much larger countries. Also ones usually surrounded by allies, and rich in numerous resources to sustain themselves. But here's little Japan, with only so many natural resources of their own. But look at how much of an impact they have on the world, and how powerful they are. Definitely one of our most valuable allies, I think. And I think them being able to change and adapt on one hand, yet stay true to their culture and history is part of their continued success.

Much to most of my fellow democrats chagrin, I also think Russia is best kept as an ally and have a lot of respect for their history and military dominance. But then again, to want to be on the bad side of the largest country in the world with the largest stockpile of nuclear arms and most dominant history of military tactics besides the Roman empire is never wise.

Sometimes creating a culture that permeates throughout the world is better than a natural resource. Japan creates so many things you can't get duplicated anywhere else. It's such a beautiful country.

How many Japans could you fit in Russia?

It's so crazy to think. Most islands that size are barely properties of larger countries.
