I definitely prefer some things in the moder era to then, but yeah something just felt so pure about those pre-Raw Superstars and Challenge episodes

It was more cartoonish during that time. Especially with the jobbers having gimmicks, but the shows did good building for the pay per views. Tag Team divisions felt more relevant with those shows. The shows in the 1980s were epic. Brain Busters vs Demolition, Demolition vs. Colossal connection was good. The only Road Warriors vs. Demotion match that was televised
