What's funny too is you can actually look at the numbers and WCW in early 1999 was still doing gang buster numbers as they were in 1998. The buys on SuperBrawl and Uncensored 1999 were great and the TV numbers were over 4.0. The numbers stay steady until April when Hogan turns babyface, nWo quietly fades away, they put the belt on DDP and then turn him heel immediately. Fans were 100% still paying and tuning in for the nWo, the problem wasn't the nWo ran too long, it was icne they were gone, there was no draws to replace them and then the draw they had left, DDP took too long to pull the trigger on and caused him ti turn heel and Goldberg was filming that dumb Universal Soldier sequel. Even then Summer of 1999 dipped, but wasn't abysmal yet. WCW could have been salvaged in 2000 had they not overacted and canned Bischoff in September.
