Really can't make sense of why they would dedicate that amount of time to the wedding of two unspecified parties, and only two episodes on what followed which was easily the most important thing, which actually should have been expanded on
As far as the title being a lie, is it really that much of a lie? Sure, the story could have been wayyyyyy shorter. But they constantly plant the seeds of how he would end up meeting her and the experiences he went through that shaped him.
You gotta see the last season if just for specific episode but I ain't spoilin' which one. But yeah the last season of New Girl is an afterthought since everyone has all essentially moved on. It's not bad though but not really necessary either
And another thing... they really didn't do shit in that final season to actually make the ultimate payoff feel good in any way. Like, if you're going to go that route at least do something leading up to it that makes it a viable option. Because I feel like most people at this phase of the series were not hoping for that ending.
